Does anyone have any tips for drying caapi vine? A section broke off during a storm and now I have a few kilos of vine and don't want it to go to waste. I've been putting it on the roof while the sun is out but it's winter here and right now it rains at least once a day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thx-

You could consider it boiling while its fresh, and keep the brew in a cool place for when its called for. I know someone who prefers to brew with fresh material over dry wood. I haven't had the chance personally to compare fresh-brew verses dry-wood-brew. Just a thought.

And this would keep for a while? This is enough to last a couple of years...

Brew it, reduce it, and pop it in the freezer. It should be good for years, imo.
