Hello,
I managed to get a membership signup so thought I would introduce myself.

I’m a middle aged male, and have been very ‘square’ most of my life. I have never done drugs other than smoking some weed in my teen years. Having said that I had a very strong habitual drinking style for many years. I no longer drink alcohol at all, due to the experiences with Psilocybin and DMT. I went through an interesting change in my 40’s after accumulating the normal trappings of materialism, nice new homes, no debt, and a desperate, desperate emptiness and lack of emotional intimacy in marriage. Divorce, losing everything financially and nearly dying of pneumonia through stress made me question what life was all about.

I started looking at religions and spirituality. It raised questions. About 6 years ago after reading the work of Graham Hancock and Rick Strassman I started looking at psychedelics with interest. I made a new friend who had tried Psilocybe mushrooms. So after much study, and no idea what was going to happen, I jumped off the deep end with a 5 gram dose of a Psilocybe experience .

My life has never been the same since.

I have now had around 70 deep mushroom experiences, including going into The Light in one of them. I think I have an idea what we are, what we are about and our purpose as humankind.
More recently, I have had vapourised DMT experiences. I favour psilocybin as I think the experiences are potentially more therapeutic, whereas DMT is shocking, fast and as someone described “The drive by of psychedelics” . I like DMT as I find it can ‘reset’ me quickly, without the long ordeal of psilocybin. So it is very therapeutic obviously as well.
I have recently successfully extracted DMT from a local, wild acacia. It was a thrilling moment. I have been watching this site for a few years and picking tips and following advice on how to make it happen. There are many on here I would love to thank and say how much I appreciate their sharing.

We seem to be on a path of discovery and renewal and reawakening. The western world needs this very much.

Much love to you all. Thank you for letting me become part of this family.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Welcome to the nexus friend.

Glad to have you join the community. This place is wonderful for all the information it has, as well as all the people that make it possible.

Sounds like you've had some ups and downs, but it may have been what you needed to break that cycle, its unfortunate that sometimes you have to lose some things in the process. Sounds like you have chosen a different path now and that its working for you. Mushrooms are great teachers and personally I enjoy them thoroughly.

Thanks for sharing a little about yourself, enjoy the communityThumbs up

Peace

Thanks SO2,

Life is a great teacher, if we hear the messages. This is a wonderful forum, and there are many here I would like to thank for sharing their efforts and experiences. This has allowed me to extract my own DMT from acacia grown locally. I have learned a lot. I wish i could arrange more time spent on the forum but alas; life is busy. That in itself is a learning. Slow down, smell the roses, contemplate. Once I learn how to post photos, I'll do that if it is an O.K. thing for a 'newbie' to do.

Yes you can post photos.

You'll notice when you post that at the bottom left, under the post box your typing in there's a little box that you must check before you hit post that says "attach files". After you hit post it will redirect you to where you can upload files, after it uploads just exit and your photo will be included with your post.

Hope this helps Smile

Peace

Finally got this sorted. Took a long time to get them this clean. From Acacia floribunda.

White crystal grew and more yellow stuff was waxy layer on bottom, but that cleaned up nicely too.

Not sure why last lot of photos didn't load. Oh well.

I have been consistently seeing 0.2 - 0.25% from dry Acacia Floribunda bark. Doesn't seem to vary much from that. I wonder if there is a bit of urban legend about the potential yields that possibly gets reported again and again after being from one source. Interesting though: would love to see 0.4 - 0.8 that I have read in different places.

I tried something different with the last re-x, in that rather than pouring off the naptha and spice, I used an eye dropper to suck the oil residue from the bottom of the small jar. Seemed theoretically, a cleaner way to do it as I didn't lose any in transfer to another container that would normally happen with sloshing etc. Also I was able to get every last drop with the fine eye dropper.

Not sure what is going on. Trying to attach photos, and they seem to take but don't show when the post is put up. If I go back in I can see the attachment, as an attachment. Frustrating.

O.K. Thanks.

I'll try and find a tutorial on this somewhere. Looks pretty straight forward, and seems like it works but then when I go back into the post the photos are not there except that original one above.

Appreciate your help and feedback - thank you!

Have just found a good use for leftover shredded acacia bark after it have been through four cooks...... my wife wants it for her acid loving new Blueberry plants. She is now telling me that it is not enough, and she wants more! Oh well, phyllodes next time. (the bark came from a branch that had been removed from a floribunda.)
