So Han went and did a very simple (and first) a/b ACRB extraction; mix sodium carb and vinegar with bark, mix, settle, repeat, pull with limo, salt with vinegar, suck up vinegar with baster, evaporate.

He got a little sloppy with the baster, and some limonene will surely be in the final product, which is looking quite promising (evaporating right now). Have searched google with no luck so now I ask my fellow travelers... How exactly does one clean limonene from the final product?

The ultimate goal is to make changa/enhanced leaf, if that helps...

If you run the vinegar before its totally evaporated, through a funnel with cotton filter, it will trap some of the limonene.

How are you planning on converting it to freebase after you evaporate your acetate? That step can also potentially remove some of the limonene. Do you have ethanol or IPA or acetone?

Will funneling through a t-shirt suffice?
And I plan to add some sodium carbonate + water, make a paste, pull with 100% IPA (Diggers), the evap onto mullein. I'd upload pics but I can't for the life of me figure it out :/

I wonder: is the amount of limo that carried into the final product at a level that would prove acutely toxic or unusable. A popular cannabis extract is sold for vaporizing and "dabbing"—it supposedly contains 5% limo: http://www.tetralabs.com/ca/puregold

There are claims that the naturally occurring (dl?)-limonene in cannabis and hops (along with other terpenes) contributes to the psychoactive properties/pharmacodynamics of these plants. I don't feel like looking into the exact sources right now, but I'm sure they can be found among the wealth of online cannabis science and phytoextractoion info (lucky plant)... From what I recall it is one of the sedative addends to the stoning cannabis effect, but present in relatively minuscule amounts in hops/buds (I'm guessing)...

There is also some research to support the claim that limonene can be useful to increase the skin-permeability of some compounds/drugs—that begs the question of its effect on pulmonary absorption of spice alkaloids. I also think (without bothering to search the source, sorry) it is also a common additive/flavorant to tobacco products and e-cig juice.

I ended up freezing the vinegar. Managed to wipe off the bulk of the limo from the surface and have resumed evap. Looks much better now.

Sounds like that should work.

d-limonene freeze point is minus 74 C,
water freezes at 0 - (vinegar is 95% water, 5% acetic acid).

A household freezer should freeze the vinegar while the limo remains liquid.
I am a little unsure how the dmt alkaloids would react in this situation though.

So I managed to scrape up 0.30g, which is about 80% of what there was to scrape up. There's still more to go but it's still a wee bit wet. Pretty stoked considering I'm pulling from 100g of bark. Gonna collect the rest tomorrow and do another pull on my day off. I'll wait until my bark is depleted before I move on to leaf enhancement, and finally the test run. Will report back here with results.
Freezing the vinegar didn't seem to impact negatively, which makes me happy as hopefully I can ditch the turkey baster. Will find out for sure soon enough
