Hi y'all, Only a few nights ago I got to sample this amazing plant at the end of a shamanic mushroom ceremony in the woods...and both me and the mushrooms were very impressed with it. Beautiful flavour as well, and I'm not a fan of normal cigarette tobacco. I have two large, very nice looking N. rustica plants that have just flowered, and I would very much like to harvest and cure them. I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but please could anyone out there either provide some links to info on how to do this, or provide me with their own experience attempting this...haven't had much luck finding any guides out there. Thanks

had some Mapacho plants as well. Look very nice during flowering. However smoking wasn't pleasant, perhaps natives ferment tobacco before using (or maybe there are other preparation secrets) all my posts are random generated and can not be evaluated as distinct ideas Evening Glory wrote:This is a medicine, remember, not some video you can watch inside your head.

dry the leaves in the shade... until they are leathery not paper dry... now take some leaves and boil them into a thick resines tea... think... bloiled down... then dip the leaves in that and role them into a log and let that dry in a warm dry place. viola... you have mapacho... cheers. My first and only plant came out rather small. The biggest leaves are the size of my hand and it just started to flower. I was thinking when it started to yellow I would cut it down, (wait until leathery) boil this tea with the small top leaves, and dip the larger leaves to roll up + dry? Sound about right? I love how the flowers look like they're puffin'

A bit of honey added is always a nice touch. I've gotten a log that smelled lightly of honey and it smoked wonderfully. I imagine that other herbs like clove, cinnamon and fruits like apple, lemon, lime, or grape could also be used to create fruity mapacho. worth mentioning that rustica is not the same species as mainstream smoking tobacco. following above recipe with certain 'regular' varieties could make you violently ill if not mortally overdosed.
