Almost every time I work with the molecule or changa I only seem to be able to have one experience a night. If I were to describe it I would say the experience is like a crescendo. Once the experience begins to fade no matter how much I smoalk I can never get back to the same level of intensity. I find this interesting because with changa it is reported that you can keep the experience going indefinitely but for me this is not the case. When I do try to get back to the same level again, I get the feeling that I am disrespecting the dmt gods by not taking the experience for what it was. I realize I could probably wait an hour and try again. However, by the time the hour mark comes around I never feel like starting the process over again for another journey. Thoughts?

Yeah, there is a well-known temporary "tolerance" that starts about 1 minute after you first inhale and lasts for about an hour. After that minute is up, no amount of DMT will get you there. This is also why you have to smoalk it all as fast as possible to breakthrough. The faster you reach a critical threshold level of DMT concentration in the brain, the farther you go.

When I was first starting out, I often traveled 3-4 times in one night, but I still spaced them out at >1 hour intervals. Usually I only did this when the first few trips were unsatisfying or misfires, when you get it good there's not much need to go back.

The extended DMT breakthrough is a holy grail that I have yet to experience through any route of administration, changa for me only extends the experience about 2x and brings unpleasant physical side effects. With ayahuasca, it lasts only 30-45 minutes of peak + hours of low-level visuals, again with physical side effects. Mushrooms at heroic doses seem like the best option if you want to travel far and long.

I have not noticed that. Additional doses were always much stronger and better.

Well known tolerance ?
I've never experienced this and I'm not sure I've heard of this either.
Tolerance has never really been an issue for me .

It was something Mckenna used to talk about a lot. In theory, he said that you need to get as many hits as possible in about a minute, after which the brain develops a temporary tolerance.

More times than not if I go back in after an effective blastoff the experience it results in a sharper, more harrowing hyperspatial atmosphere. I learned this early on, so I always do my best to make sure I receive a blast-off dose when I journey. My view is that you have to be in constant communication with yourself in order to decide if you should do more or just put the pipe down. If i don't receive an effective dose the first time, I tend to let it be, concluding that I received the healing I needed from it and I need not go in again. Though, this may just be a reactionary response due to my early fearful experiences of delving in again.

Peace!

Thank you for the replies. I'm going to stop pussyfooting around go for the one hit breakthroughs with changa in a bong and take the experience as it is.

I've experienced what feels like this short-term tolerance you speak of, and I've also had much the opposite effect where the strongest experience was often the second or third time in a short time span. The reason I typically stopped doing it, was because going multiple times seemed to heavily bias the experience toward weird and negative scenarios in hyperspace.

Back when I was just smoking enhanced leaf, before I ever started changa; there were quite a few experiences where there was some form of quick-building tolerance, whereas there were others where i'd smoke, wait probably a minute or two then go to smoke again - usually resulting in a powerful experience or an experience that took a turn for the extra-weird; usually the former. Although smoking back to back like that has led to some beatings. The couple loop-style experiences I had years back were from smoking back to back.

DMT gives you what you need not what you want
This ain't no playground Razz

Maybe working with the "DMT gods" via another route of inner-exploration will equip you with the means to sustain your hyperspatial visits.
Possibly Syrian Rue tea, Caapi tea, or a brew with MAOI and DMT so maybe you can come face to face with the "entities" and find that they may actually be your own manifestations and pretenses preventing you from going too far away from the comfort of the known.

I would be grateful for every voyage allowed and humble if there were no re-entry.
These things work in our lives beyond the DMT-experience so that's where I would look for answers.

Also, I've noticed it becomes harder to fully "blast off" if smoking heavy amounts of Cannabis during/around the trip

I usually smoalk twice in a row. The second one about 10-20 minutes after the first. I have not experienced a temporary tolerance either. For me the second one is usually stronger and I go way farther. I think for me at least that is because I am much calmer, have less preflight anxiety and therefore manage to smoalk much more efficient ....
Love is all you need! And maybe some imagination....

Don't believe a word I say. None of it is true, all invented in my mind out of boredom.
