Hey folks hows it going? hope everyone is having a pleasant start to the week.

I am writing this post because I am very interested/eager to reintroduce myself with my first entheogen: salvia.

Like many foolish/ignorant/unaware/immature folks my first encounter with Salvia was terrifying, and it was because of my lack of knowledge and respect.

It has now been some 7+ years since i have even considered smoking salvia again. I knew it was an extremely powerful substance but until recently i did not know the proper way to dose and ingest a pleasant salvia experience.

My interest in this potent plant was reborn when reading about people different changa mixtures. I found it very interesting that people would add this powerful plant to an already powerful substance. reading more about it and peoples beautiful experiences with it has greatly reignited my desire to venture into this wild world at least once more.

I was curious at to peoples thoughts on store bought/commercially produced salvia... Ive read that it can be not as strong as labeled and also that in some states/stores the "salvia" that is sold is more of some "spice" mixture than true salvia.. if that is the case i do not want that. I want a true salvia experience.

Would one recommend store bought salvia or should I try to obtain regular leafs and fortify them myself (if wish be). Or are certain "brand names" more reliable than others?

thanks for reading and replying to those that do!

The general consensus is that raw/unfortified leaves are sufficiently strong for most. As I understand many experience a degree of reverse tolerance where first encounters with the sage are not so perceptible, but become stronger the more you work with it, so that a single hit of plain leaf launches them. It is highly variable.

Dont forget quidding can be more comfortable and manageable.
Good luck
