If I may be personal - you have some nice plants but they are presented in a real crappy manner.
And why do you make such a huge fuss about their exact nomenclature when you don´t even bother to label them?
May I suggest a few things to an obvious beginner?
Decide on what type of pots you like, plastic, glazed, terracotta, and keep the style uniform. For a number of reasons I am moving to unglazed terracotta.
Rationalize your growing medium - these are mostly Mexican desert cacti and do best in an alkaline mix with a high content of limestone - in habitat many grow amongst huge chunks of the stuff.
The stuff you are using has a load of twigs and other organic rubbish in it - the trend nowadays is for a much more mineral mix with just a small amount of organic material - many use an addition of 10% or so of wormcasts.
And spruce up the appearance of your plants with a smart top dressing - looks nice and also gives self seeded sprouts a bit of shade.
And some neat printed labels with their Latin names make all the difference. Mine are aluminium based - plastic doesn´t last a season here.
This is the look I have been going for:
And join a more active forum with some members who know what they are talking about. Shroomery has more posts in a day than this place has in a year.
