Hi,
I need some help identifying mushroom I picked growing in the backyard.
I realize that identifying the right one takes skills and training since there could be poisonous look-alikes. Could someone please have a look and confirm if what they see could be the right kind to consume.
Thought I might ask.
Cheers!

I'm no shrooms expect but your location is important, it significantly narrows down which mushroom those can be. You can find out the types of shrooms that grow in your area and go from there. And i mean area as in state or province

Where did you find the mushroom?: what state or area?
What was it growing on?
What color was your spore print?

Looks like a conocybe or an Agrocybe maybe.
Definantly not active...
You do know that unless you live in Florida, Hawaii, or the Pacific northwest that the only active mushrooms generally available are panaeolus cinctulus, or other LBMs, right?
