I am always totally amazed by the endless patterns and colors I see in the sub breakthrough dmt experience. Does anyone have any specific or favorite colors and do they mean anything to you?

I know if I flood the experience with love (sometimes as an antidote to fear) then I'll get incredible pink and yellow bloblets appear. Brown or black often mean negative emotions. I never see purples. Going past that to breakthrough I've been lost in an ecstatic pink nebula.

But shiny custard yellow! This is such a common occurrence for me, sometimes whole long sequences of just this color. It's almost a tacky color like you might expect in a cheap plastic toy. What's that about?! Confused

In all of reality there are not two. There is just the one thing. And I am that.

The Mandelbrot set is my favorite fractal pattern, but from the context of your post I can tell this is not what you were referring to...

Due to the nature of the experienced synesthesia during the flash I've never been able to properly articulate these strange events...

my favorite color in visual effects is hard to describe but i think the best fit would be some kind of metallic blue to violet shade. i sometimes see it as lines crossing the room when i open my eyes during peaks.

@entheogenic-gnosis: i prefere the julia set - but it is included in in the Madelbrot set.
i just love pics like this:

There are some pretty interesting Julia sets out there.

The Dragon Curve is another great one (which you can make by folding paper, which is sort of neat).

Trees are another perennial favorite.

Also, as far as fractals go, I'm pretty into the Universe Very happy

The Fatou set compliments the Julia set in some really strange way...complex but beautiful stuff...

Ralph Abraham is a mathematician, he is also a figure in psychedelia, most noted for his three way discussions with Terrence mckenna and Rupert sheldrake, but is also known outside of psychedelia for his amazing contributions in the world of math and chaos theory...

If you have not looked into Ralph Abraham I highly recommend it...

I'm embarrassed to try to describe this synesthesia, but I'll try...

On LSD I get this taste/smell/inner-eye-vision that comes on, it's a hallucination of a small tin can that the LSD was in, like I can taste and smell the metal of the can, like a smooth altoids tin type thing, ...I can't explain this one so I'll move on...but it's like all my senses feel this tin-can thing..ok..never mind...

Once on psilocin I became "red", all my senses were the color, I was enveloped in all that it means to experiance the color red...

But again, I feel really dumb trying to articulate these strange synesthesia events...

Fractals! Hues, tones, shades and tints!
For me color its also related to emotional states. Dull tones and black, brown and grey colors are usually associated with negative imagery and feelings.
Purples and pinks are joyfull and pretty bodily sensations.
Silver and Gold are my favorites for the undescriptable feelings and images they evoke in me.

Ive never had real fractal cev's. Swirly stripy spirals, (with some kind of undeciferable writing in the stripes) but not like the classic mandlebrodt kind of thing.

I have had the yellow colour Not two describes, although veering towards lime green. Bit like 1970's wallpaper. Kind of sickly.

Music seems to greatly influence the colours and patterns. I had one experience with changa and a studio 1 reggae playlist where a certain tune really carried me away and the visuals became mostly white with the patterns in delicate shades of grey. Felt very pure and clean.

Some of Alex Grey's paintings are the closer to what I see.

always purple and green.

I've even seen fractals of those hues whilst laying in a sensory deprivation tank, sober.

I get a lot of greens, blues and violets. Occasional red/yellow/orange combinations. Some of my most beautiful experiences were predominantly blue, almost sky blue, mixed with some others I can't remember.

My strongest DMT/changa experience i've ever experienced was literally outside the realm of any specific color. The 'bright white light' I guess some call it; I guess that'd be it? It literaly encompassed, subsumed, yet transcended any sort of possible color. It was all evolving, transforming, splitting, folding, growing, shrinking, branching at incomprehensible speed. Pure impossibility.

Once I went in for an EEG, they gave me a "closed eye strobe test"

I closed my eyes, they place the strobing light above your closed eyelids, the light is meant to stimulate optical nerves, any way, during this test I saw the most amazing fractals, and colors, this "neon-glowing-green" color was most persistent, as I visually explored the fractals I lost momentary contact with my physical body and entered a hypnogogic state., Though to remove yourself from this state all one must do is open their eyes...

The "Dreamachine" is a similar strobe device. Perhaps a dream machine or an EEG closed eye strobe test would be benneficial to explore while on Psychedelics?, particularly relating to closed eye fractal hallucination.

For myself I find violet to be a very agreeable color in hyperspace. Speaking for myself, it seems to be a color that is reserved for high frequency, positive experiences. If I think about it though, I always get most excited when I see turquoise show up because it is an immediate indication of Egyptian themed experiences.
