Evaporating d-limonene will require lots of heat. It has a quite high boiling point.

It will, but takes ages. Compare it to veggie oil.

Distilling it without water requires temperature of 200 C, which most probably will render your stuff inactive.

Best bet will be to distill it with water. It's boil just under 100C when it's mixed. If you're actives can handle 100C, that would be your fastest option (if of course the active fats/oil have a higher or lower boiling point, otherwise it will come over with the limonene leaving you in the same place you started)

BTW Welcome @ the Nexus.

That would be doable. So it's the freebase you're after?

Still I think you're better of using a solvent which evaporates more easily.

Though i know acetone is made naturally in the body, but still, it's not as safe as limonene, as far as evaporating goes.

Not as safe? Source?

You could do your main extraction with D-limonene, and then do your second mini A/B with a small amount of acetone.

The advantage is that it boils away at 60C so you can easily boil it away au bain marie outside of course.

I'm not really experienced in the DMT extraction part so better wait for some good advice from the experts here.

The safety profiles of acetone and limonene are both available*. While limonene might in fact be safer than acetone we ask that you back up your claims with facts or don't state them at all. We do not want casual readers of the Nexus to get bad information and 'gut-feelings' when working with extractions.

Also, acetone is as natural as limonene. Naphtha is natural as well. So is arsenic. Natural != safe.

Thank you for clearing that up!! I had been following this waitin on the mention of namptha wondering where I could find the analysis. But just for giggles if we are talking opinion I would think limonene is just as safe as acetone. And in that case namptha(my choice)

E.g.
D-Limonene ORAL LD50 5600 mg/kg
Acetone ORAL LD50 5340 mg/kg

(Reminder: lower value means more toxic. Anything above 2000 mg/kg can be regarded as non toxic.)
In all of reality there are not two. There is just the one thing. And I am that.

I hope this isn't mistook for saying that these chemicals are safe to handle with out cation!!! They are all potential hazards if ingested or vapor is inhaled. Along with several other risks associated with "thinners"
