I feel extremely focused ever since I started using DMT. At work last week I was doing advanced algebra in my head which is something I can't normally do. I feel more focused and extremely calm. Have any of you had similar experiences?

Long-term use of psychedelic drugs is associated with differences in brain structure and personality in humans.

these data suggest that regular use of psychedelic drugs could potentially lead to structural changes in brain areas supporting attentional processes, self-referential thought, and internal mentation. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25637267

Psychedelic states cause novel neurological pathways to form, and because of the principles of neuroplasticity our minds can recall these pathways...

I feel extremely organized. I have found I am not as angry and having 5-6 different fun nexus based projects keeps my attention continuously busy and changing.

Getting a lot done.

I suggest, Peyote, San Pedro, Star Peyote, Weed AutoGrow Sativa and Indica, Extractions, Mushrooms - Cube, and other powerful strain, Salvia.

You'll stay busy and have a fun time at least.

AND.......... You won't have time to mess with stuff you shouldn't be messing with (like overchecking shrooms or extractions)
Everything I say here is a work of spiritual fiction.

I've never been diagnosed with ADHD but it's been long speculated I have/had it, and I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder a few years ago, which isn't all that far removed. LSD helped me come to terms with my past. I had my first DMT trip a couple of days ago which I suspect might be the start of my education in the Now. I certainly felt a lot calmer afterwards and my short term memory has dramatically improved, something I only noticed as it was getting bad from lack of proper sleep and too much weed smoking (I wake n bake). Also since that first trip, I've slept soundly 8 hours right through every night, and have been getting strange visions.. I don't have/remember any dreams, but I remember visions throughout the day that I know I've seen before, so I suspect something is going on in my sleep.

There was a vaguely 'mystical' feeling about LSD when I started out, but that soon faded. With this DMT, I can already feel there are great forces at work behind it, even just through the day I can sense a presence that wasn't there before. To put it lightly, I'm scared. I hope they're gentle with me.

I don't know for DMT but I've been surprised, when I met people claiming to use mushrooms daily, at quite a good dose (2 to 3g).

First of all, I began to say them it was totaly inutile, given the fast tolerance this manner to use them will induce.
Then, the three people I'm talking about said they indeed got no psychedelic effect but were more calm and focused with this. Those three people met all the diagnostic criteria for severe ADHD.
I searched papers investating this subject but found nothing (it was a few years ago).
Thanks for posting, it seems to confirm there is something with ADHD and tryptamines!

Hi Running Bear,

I myself have ADD and am currently taking Dexamphetamine.
In my opinion, I would say there are two distinct reasons that the DMT is helping you focus at work.
You probably know this but heres the back story:
Basically ADD only affects boring mundane tasks, the mind wonders and it becomes stressful to remain on task.
Interesting and exciting tasks can have the complete opposite affect and create a state of hyper focus. The Medication just levels one out to what a non-ADD person is like so that daily tasks can get done.
Also allows me to fully understand my emotions and truly feel empathy for others.
ADD is a neurochemical inbalance where Dopamine is always low, that in turn causes Serotonin to elevate, basically making one more emotional and indecisive.

DMT "acts" on the sereotonin receptors and my understanding is that whenever serotnin is released, a small amount of dopamone is released too. (Don't quote me on this but I do know that Amphetamines that mainly act on the Dopamine receptors, do release a small amount of Serotonin too, this is true for MDMA in reverse and DMT is a sister molecule to serotonin)
So bsically your are self medicating with the DMT.

I do this with marijuana (at home only,) helps me concentrate very well, especially mixed with the dexamphetamine.

Methamphetamine works quite well too, although I only do this every so often that one's a bit dicey (ie junkie Photos,) never at work though, lol and having ADD gives me a very addictive nature.....

Everything else would be too "distracting" to be effective as a focus drug for work.

Modafinal works to a degree, Caffeine + L-Thenine, nootropics

And of course, regular exercise, regular sleep, no sugar, cafffeine can counter productive, ie anxiety, I've stopped completely now I'm on dexamphetamine, no need now

The other reason you are able to concentrate better is that you constantly clearing yourself of emotional baggage. This way you have free space in your mind, or minimal thoughts to distact you. They will eventually build up again as your resistance builds to the DMT and psychadelic resistance builds quick
The best solution is prevention, to not allow the negative thoughts in in the first place and keep the mind clear.
I've used DMT once, whilst on Dexamphetamine and it was the most incredible experience of my life.
The most amazing thing that I have recently brought into my life is Kundalini Yoga.
This I feel is the perfect cure for ADD, it centres me and I no longer feel anxious, confused or upset.
The yoga is specifically targeted for awakening and raising the Kundalini energy within and reaching enlightenment. DMT is just a shorcut preview of what astral projection/ enlightened experience is like once the Kundalini energy is awoken wihtin.
I now know that that one DMT experience awoke the Kundalini Energy within me and my life has been a roller coaster of emotions right up until the time that I found yoga.
I believe in God and Christ, but I also believe Budhhism is just as important, the two religions I feel are actually one split in two.
The other thing is that I don't feel in my heart that ADD is a defecite at all if anything I see it as a gift, it just needs to be managed, regiment is a friend Big grin
Anyway I hope my short story of experinces might help you find some alternative solutions

Cheers
Stew
