Hi peeps

I am here, not because of wanting to take drugs, but to find myself.
I have already disassociated myself from the materialistic.
Hope I will find some good input from some genuine members.
After being with other forums where there are just arguments but no solutions, I am looking for something more.
I have experienced other entities in other worlds, therefore I believe they I(others) have guided me here, in order to communicate better.
Im 52 y old I don't care about the drugs that the kids are taking, I'm just interested how to connect to the universe on another plane.
Also I was atheist but now agnostic.
Cheers peeps, you are wonderfull!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

To experience. The best thing you can do in this life is put out love and be a positive person.

Maybe... maybe that's the best thing you can do.. as that's just a perspective. How about buddha over there? seeking for enlightenment, who sits all day not experiencing? I think that is a life worth living even though there is no experience or love-giving.

Welcome to the forums, I feel you. Drugs aren't for everyone. But DMT is not a drug, it is a neurotransmitter and it is found naturally in your brain already. I am not really sure why you created this thread as you did not ask a question and stated you wern't interested in psychoactive substances, nevertheless I will tell you why I don't take drugs.

I never wanted to start taking psychedelics but I got impatient with meditation as I wasn't getting any lasting effects really, even after some couple hours daily. Nor did I have the discipline to join a meditation retreat which I think would do it. whatever it is.

Anyway the point is that meditation is about something far longer lasting than just fucking hitting the crack pipe and getting launched with DMT. I wanted to be a monk meditating all day so I could get in to VERY deep places in my mind which have been outlined by previous monks. I had a difficult time giving away the materialist lifestyle as I grew up as a western world kid and unfortunately failed that task. Now I just wait for the time when I can feel enough peace & stability in my environment to actually give it another solid go.

I feel DMT and other substances can help with many things but they also give you ALOT OF OTHER THINGS, some of which can be for some VERY MUCH unwanted (lasting dramatic shifts in visual perception, short heart race anxiety bumps as if you have just hit the DMT pipe, questioning things you perceive when you don't want or is not the right time etc.).

O really, care to show us a little proof? Strassman's theory, that it is created in the pineal gland, is just that, a theory.

Siddhartha was born into the royal family of a small kingdom on the Indian Nepalese border. According to the traditional story he had a privileged upbringing, but was jolted out of his sheltered life on realising that life includes the harsh facts of old age, sickness, and death. This prompted him to puzzle over the meaning of life. Eventually he felt impelled to leave his palace and follow the traditional Indian path of the wandering holy man, a seeker after Truth. He became very adept at meditation under various teachers, and then took up ascetic practices.

Sounds to be that buddha was experiencing life.

If you want to find yourself, then look within.

You certainly don't have to ingest drugs to do this. Meditation, Breathing Techniques, Isolation Tanks, Shaman Journey, Lucid Dreaming, just to name a few.

Your number one tool for looking within is going to be meditation. All other altered states of consciousness will be enhanced if you practice some form of meditation.

I hope you do 'find yourself' as you stated! I guess you just have to make that commitment and see it through.

Good luck!
"In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link." ~Carlos Castaneda

I have about one years combined knowledge of mediation (vipassana) and psychdelics (mostly LSD) and from that very short time frame and very small list of techniques/substances used i would easily say that meditation has proven to be the most useful and learning about what lies within.

I never said it was produced in the brain. It IS found in the body in trace amounts and therefor exist in the brain in trace amounts.

In this dimension everythings stands in duality. Day, night, women, men, etc. Life is the dual opposite of entrophy, that's why life exist. Creating order from chaos.

Hi everybody
Is DMT a Neurotransmitter or a Hormone? I´ve seen it being named both ways but wonder what will be more proper.
