·An 8" stalk of trichocereus pachanoi was de-spined, and had the inner core removed, the remaining caucus flesh was placed in a boiling pot, and prepared in traditional "trichocereus tea" fashion.
This brew is then set aside.
·15g shreaded acacia confusa root-bark
·4g peganum harmala seeds
·9g cold-H20 cannabis extract (bubble hash)
·H20
·Vinegar or lemon juice
The ACRB and PHS is brewed for 4 hours, then is filtered, the filtrate is set aside, and the filter-cake is returned to the boiling pot where more H2O is added, this occurs a total of three times.
The three filtrates are combined and reduced, during reduction the cold-H20 cannabis extract (9g) is added.
Then 1/4 of the total liquid of the ACRB/PHS, is removed, and replaced with cimora (trichocereus tea) (the tea that was set aside earlier)
I've been working with this brew...
The mono amine oxidase action of the harmala alkaloids should actually allow lower doses of mescaline, doses that may not have been active otherwise, to become active...
Quote:harmala alkaloids WITH MESCALINE
(with 100 mg harmaline, 60 mg mescaline (3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine) [20 min]) "At two hours I was in a pleasant state of physical relaxation, a fine sense of well being, and I found music most enjoyable. From then to the fourth hour, thoughts flowed freely, and it became obvious that insight was a major part of this experience. Normally unconscious thoughts were easily available. It was as if I could observe my mind in operation, as facts were weighed to form conclusions. By the sixth hour music was a thing of beauty, with the higher notes crisp and clear. The harmaline has probably worn off. Sleep at eight hours, and the next day was without any adverse effects. This was a remarkable experience, the insight of TMA, and the relaxation of MDMA."
(with 150 mg harmaline, 100 mg mescaline [15 min]) "A stomach ache developed at about 45 minutes, followed by a mild nausea which occurred intermittently throughout the next six hours. I felt comfortable, although there was a slight discoordination at about two hours. Walking was never a problem but did require more concentration than normal. Colors on the television were obviously more intense, and highly saturated at this point and moderate photophobia developed. Even a fire in the fireplace was distracting, and stereo was best enjoyed in the dark. Attempts at sleep did not work until the ninth hour. Upon awakening there was a feeling of dehydration but otherwise no ill effects. Mild looseness of stools was present later that morning. Since experiments using only mescaline at doses between 80 and 120 mg resulted in no CNS effects at all, it seems clear that the MAO blocking effects of the harmaline were crucial to this experience.
TIHKAL;shulgin
However, the tyramine content of the trichocereus cacti worries me...tyramine and MAOIs are a mix which could lead to a hypertensive crisis...
Trichocereus Pachanoi also contains: 3,4-dimethoxyphenethylamine, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenethylamine, 3-hydroxy-4,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine, 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine, anhalonidine, anhalinine, hordenine,
Quote:In the book PiHKAL, Shulgin describes DMPEA as producing no central effects in humans when tested even with very high doses, such as 1,000 mg orally or 10 mg via intravenous injection.[4] However, DMPEA has been shown to have some activity as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor.[5] -Wikipedia
Hmmm...so the DMPEA may not present an issue...it also has some activity an an MAOI, but likely is not present in large enough quantity....
I've been trying to combine cimora and yagé brews for quite sometime now, with limited success.
...maybe these two medicines are better off as separate entities...but I've enjoyed experimenting in combination brews...I've never given an experiment brew to another person, I've been the only test subject so far.
I have had mild success at cannabis infused yagé, THC is not water soluble (and I don't want to use butter or fats in combination with an MAOI), and BHO and PHO extract won't go into solution, but the "bubble hash" extracts, these cold water extracts, actually go into mixture with these brews quite well...
