I know this has been mentioned a few times here, but i was just wondering if anyone has any updates regarding this subject. Say a person were to experiment around with oral DMT in the form of Aya or Pharma, frequently, perhaps daily, near daily, or weekly for an extended amount of time, would there be any possibility of something going wrong with the heart valves or anything concerning the 5-HT2B receptor activation?

Among those who are senior travelers, who may have had their frequent phase, have you noticed anything heart wise, or aside from the 2B receptor, what about prostate wise or enlargement of the prostate?

Just curious. I'm becoming more conscious about my health these days, and just want to make sure that my quite frequent use of Rue and Mimosa back in 2012 didn't do any damage, which i don't think it did, but i wouldn't mind some reassurance.

Thanks Smile

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Maybe a good read:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih...d/22761152?dopt=Abstract
http://moscow.sci-hub.bz...8/10.1002%40dta.1383.pdf

Daily intake sounds unhealthy to me. What's even the point? Better start daily meditation.

Edit: okay, the paper doesn't mention heart diseases, but that doesn't mean frequent DMT intake is healthy.

Quote:
Of special interest will be the determination of its efficacy at human 5-HT2B receptor as two in vitro assays evidenced DMT's high affinity for this receptor: 0.108 μM[68] and 0.184 μM.[65] This may be of importance because chronic or frequent uses of serotonergic drugs showing preferential high affinity and clear agonism at 5-HT2B receptor have been causally linked to valvular heart disease.[70][71][72]

Better check with a doc and don't do it daily. A 2 week spread is probably okay.

Well for me, i was wondering because a couple months ago i started experiencing chest pains and heart palpitations and have something weird going on with my fingernails, though since i've been supplementing with B12, Iron, and Folic Acid, the chest pains and palpitations seem to have gone away and my fingernails look a little bit better so far, so it was probably just that i was low in those rather than something to do with frequent use of Ayahuasca.

The other thing though, is i had to go to a urologist last week because i thought i had bladder stones or something, had a cystoscopy done and the urologist said i have no stones, my bladder/urethra looked fine, and said it was my prostate, he prescribed me Cipro, but never said anything about a for sure infection. And after looking up online, a lot of others have prostate issues which they were prescribed anti-biotics for that didn't help, so there's a possibility it could be some sort of enlarged prostate, but i'm 26 and shouldn't be having to go through this. I was thinking if it isn't an infection, and if it isn't just some natural cause of prostate enlargement, then i wonder if DMT/Ayahuasca releases any Testosterone which it or it's metabolite DHT might contribute to an enlargement of the prostate, and i was just wanting to make sure that other frequent/regular users haven't had anything wrong prostate or urinary wise. Also some of my urinary issues seems to be due to anxiety, but if i could just start the stream more easily i don't think the anxiety would be there.

Those are really my only two concerns when it comes to my past Ayahuasca intake, which it's probably nothing to do with Ayahuasca/DMT, but still, it'd be nice to hear from others so that i can put my worries to rest.

EGCG (Green tea extract) inhibits proliferation of cardiac fibroblasts in rats:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19096994

The extract I've bought is even cheaper than regular leaf tea and one pill equates to 3 cups of green tea. My favorite for heart protection.

Here are the Ki values for (±)-Norfenfluramine, the notorious cardio active compound:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih...les/PMC2695569/table/T2/

DMT has 0.108 μM and 0.184 μM vs. 52.1±21 nM for (±)-Norfenfluramine. Lower is stronger. But my brain isn't able to convert μM into nM. 0 energy, but other may try: https://en.wikipedia.org...olar_concentration#Units

In the end: remote diagnostics of heart valves over the internet is futile.

....longitudinal grooves in the fingernails?

... about your heart palpitations, these should be checked by a specialist, but we get those when we smoke potent modern bud, not sure why but we never got this from wild grown Asian bud.

It may also be potassium related...but of course we don't know. Get it checked by a pro if you can.

26 is very young, so make sure it's not autoimmune-problem related. Our dentist told we, that bad teeth can lead to symptoms such just as these...

BTW Did you ever have your hormone levels checked by an endocrinologist?

Also, did you know that the prostate has olfactory cells?

If you feel you have too much of the bad testosterone you could supplement with pine pollen or pine pollen tincture.

"....longitudinal grooves in the fingernails?"

Yup. Though they do seem to be looking a little better since supplementing with Iron, B-12 and Folic Acid. My nails still look a bit purpley at the base, a bit white in the middle, and i still have some red/pink line near the tips. The heart palpitations and chest pain has pretty much gone away, so i'm hoping it was just something related to some sort of Anemia or something.

My mom thinks i may have some sort of auto-immune thing, but i don't think so. But yeah i do need to go to the dentist sometime or another, my teeth are fine for the most part, but i do have two fillings that need to be repaired and my bottom wisdom teeth still haven't came through and will trap food particles back there and every now and then my jaw will hurt for awhile, but overall i think my teeth are alright.

And no haven't seen an endocrinologist yet, though i'd like to one day.
