Hi Guys! Im new here and swim found some new info for those who cant seem to get the solution to seperate from naptha for extractions.

Who would of thought an ultra sonic cleaner would be the way to go in heating up the solution, and seperating the molecules as well. Swim had the theory that the sonic vibration that it puts out will agitate the solution enough to help seperate the two.
The temp is awsome too, no more sinking it to a sink, or bath tub to keep hot. It does it for u as well. Swim got his at harbor freight for bout $70.

Its an awsome little machine and dont forget to still lightly twirl it to get the rest of the non polar solvent to the top too between cycles.

Hope this helps guys, it helped swim and saved him alot of headaches!

Lemme kno what u think as well bout this or if there might be a better way..

Love this place! The community is friendly and very helpful! And the rest is amazing!!

Love, Peace, and Harmoney!Thumbs up

I've found that there is never an emulsion EVER, any more, when doing a/b washes, and letting the sediment settle to the bottom and decant. If there is no sediment, then there will be no lasting emulsion. There still appears to be lots of fat in the liquid, but it separates very quickly and cleanly every time. As the old say goes. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

I'm sure your method works well with the ultrasonic cleaner, but it seems unnecessary if one knows a few tricks.

If you basify high enough (pH 12+) you shouldnt have emulsions. Try hot water baths and make sure you defat with the same solvent you pull with. .y dog sometimes had problems defatting with xylene then pulling with naphtha before for some odd reason. Also make sure to filter out as many of the small particles as you can before defatting. And DONT SHAKE OR AGITATE the jar violently. All those things can jack your project up I can tell ya from my dogs experiences. Good luck brother. Half of the fun is getting it done!!
Fear is truly the only thing to fear. Smoke it if you have it.

Agreed at this point with emulsions, the simpilar methods do work just as well when trying to avoid emulsions, what i guess i was trying to get at was the idea of being lazy for the part. You can walk away from this and it keeps that ultra high vibrating fequency under the jar, as it vibrates it stirs up the chemicals, incude shaking between cycles for extreame saturation, but its supposed to help to a degree, you'll get more because of the constant agitation with it left on and cooking it in the cleaner with constant heat. What im saying its more of an aid to help, than a solution at this point but, from my last extraction it seemed to work really well. Its the constant agitation that helps keep bringing the dmt to the naptha. Its a luxury, but not nessasary.

Try it and find out! Peace and love Guys!
