Hello,

I have been a member here approximately 2 months or so but mainly hang out in the chat room, so this will be my first thread. I started smoking DMT frequently in large doses around the same time. There were times where I had smoke 3 times a night, 3 or 4 days of the week. Before trying DMT I could hardly ever remember my dreams, in-fact I was thinking I was not having any at all which may be the case. I study physics, consciousness, religions and psychology heavily and it helps for a book that I am writing.

After trying DMT my dreams have become different and frequent. I still have a hard time remembering dreams, but what I notice is that these dreams or dreams close to when waking up, are feeling something like trying to understand consciousness. They feel so real and while in them I have an epiphany and a strong feeling of "knowing" or some kind of wisdom as well as trying to pick apart life and it's core building blocks from a consciousness perspective.

Had anyone else experienced changes in their dreams after heavy or single time DMT experiences and if so how did they change?

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

This is actually fairly common, in fact another new member made a post similar to this not too long ago and I linked a list of useful and relevant threads there. Here is that post if you are interested in reading more about the interaction between dreams and DMT. Cheers!

Welcome Fenix

I'm generally the same way, I was even wondering myself if I just wasn't getting into a deep enough sleep to dream. I would remember tidbits once a month, maybe. I used to dream every night when I was younger, looked forward to the craziness my brain would cook up back then.

Now, when I smoke freebase Dmt, changa, or do mushrooms I can almost count on having dreams like clock work that I can remember, they are very vivid and real, they pertain to my everyday life most of the time and don't exhibit the craziness of when I was younger. So yeah it changed from weird to none to guaranteed dreams that do seem to have some feeling of an underlying meaning to them, I will have to analyze them more as I have them.

Welcome again, safe and happy journeys friend Smile

Peace

Fenix all I got to say is what an awesome start you have to your book! I like how you elaborate on the mechanics on how your consciousness has evolved. Just simply beautiful. Seriously though, if that's is based on true events in your life, I'm sorry about your twin. That's hard... Hope the best.

It's cool because you elaborate on the mechanics on how your consciousness has evolved. Just simply beautiful. I'm assuming on it all that it's you. Tell me if I'm wrong.

nikshaz. Thank you for the feedback really, I love feedback like that it helps me keep the writing going. On the Other note, yes it is all real, the only reason I have it classified as fiction is to keep the people that know me who read my book from knowing exactly every aspect in the book is true.

I definitely noticed a change in my dreams after smoking DMT. Entities I've met on DMT appeared in lucid dreams (and I noticed when they appear they seem to control the dream itself).

One of the beings poured love into me in a dream...I woke up still feeling the effects!

Definitely. the night i first partook of DMT i had some very strange and vivid dreams after i went to sleep. I dont remember what they were about but i remember that they were WEIRD and almost had a dmt-esque quality about it.

Ever since then ( i havent smoalked or even had a psychedelic experience since last summer) my dreams have been extremely vivid and i usually remember a decent portion of them. Mind, i'm almost always like "wtf kind of crazy shit am i on??" when i wake up. But every sense is perfect in my dreams. I can feel the sunlight on my skin, i can taste food i am eating (even if its weird food that ive never tried before- last night was deep fried octopus tentacles lol) and hear music that ive never heard before.

I know there is no scientific correlation between dreams and endogenous dmt, but honestly, the coincidence is far too great for me to fully discount.
And I'm lonesome when you're around
I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself.
And I miss you when you're around...

It is quite common for me to experience lucid dreaming after use of LSD and mescaline. I used to work with lucid dreams in the past, and many of the dreams were very similar to the psychedelic experience. I am guessing that the psychedelic experience and the dream state has many things in common.

DMT might affect your dreams. Before partaking I had never had a dream about floating through a blue hyperspacey dimension while my invisible hands were bitten by two invisible kittens in varying intensities until I finally came up with the solution to my predicament... to simply wake up from what was obviously a dream. This proved to be incredibly effective.

Before I tried dmt it felt as my dreams had little meaning. At least as I could understand, I wouldn't think twice about a dream. After my first dmt experience I noticed I had more and what appeared to be longer dreams. The crazy thing was my dreams had some correlation to the actions tthat day. I would have dreams that would point out my flaws. Not only this but I recall one dream being a different scenario of a event that happened earlier that night just in a differnet wway. The dream felt so real and I felt I rememeber it better. So yes I have had more vivid dreams after dmt.

I seem to get rewarded often after vaping dmt with really awesome dreaming...sometimes they are lucid dreams!

I also feel my brain is undergoing some kind of a change..a brain boost effect.. similar to the effects of nutropic supliments...

Has anyone else noticed this? even now in 2022..?

I have yet to successfully break through on DMT, but I have noticed this the night after taking other psychedelics such as LSD and psilocybin/psilocin analogues.

The increase in lucid dreams is not something that I have experienced, but one that sounds very interesting. I suspect that psychedelics could make it easier for those already experienced with lucid dreaming to experience lucid dreams with increased frequency and intensity.

Definately,

Ive had a couple of small journeys in the dmt space this last weeks, both of wich lead to a bit "increased dreaming".

The effects seem to be similar to that of meditation for me in terms of dreaming:
Dreams feel deeper and more meaningfull, like the purpose they have is felt more intensely, feels like you are consciously taking part in them, or maybe they just become easier to recall.
