The morning glory family is underappreciated, and little is written about them in comparison to other power plants like ayahuasca, mushooms or cacti, from what I've seen.
I have had amazing experiences right up there with my recent 100ug LSD experience.
And it is a plant, which adds a dimension of personality, and respectability in my opinion.
They seem to be able to help me find my heart.
For some reason these plants have made me quite nauseous when they get in my stomach, much more irritating than say pure syrian rue alkaloid. And the vasoconstriction can be uncomfortably noticeable during the rough adjustment in the beginning. I feel like it smoothes out into something beautiful approx. 3 hours into it, my body anyway.
I have tried to grow Heavenly Blue Ipomoea tricolors for a few years now, and while I get many beautiful flowers, my cold climate seeps in too quick for them to produce much seed.
If you have the climate for it, Argyreia nervosa is much more powerful by weight and Turbina corymbosa is supposed to have a better alkaloid profile with including lysergol instead of ergometrine which is found in I. triclor.
I have had luck bucally absorbing LSAs from crushed A. nervosa seeds, it comes on slowly, over the course of an hour and a half, but there is not really any gut irritation. Of course the point is not to get ANY saliva in your stomach, so I would usually hold a few in mouth for 20 mins at a time and try again to boost. Tedious, but generally very positive results.
The magic is all through the threshold...
