Thought I would start a new thread on this instead of hijacking Voodoo's..

I currenty have a jar of naphtha in my freezer which should have some DMT in it. Only thing is it dont seem to be making any crystals... I poured it out and let some of it evaporate, in a food dehydrator and also left out for a day. There were some tiny crystals I noticed when pouring.
Now its back in the freezer, and what seems to be happening is that there are some wispy white cloudy bits floating around.

My method was Jorkest's limonen tek for extraction, then at the basifiying stage I split in 2 and with one of the halves instead of acetone I used some naphtha to get just the dmt.

I crushed the basified mix a bit, maybe not enough - there were still some little chunks left... but this did not seem to affect the spice pulled with acetone. (got about 1.2g jungle spice from that Smile)
As warrensaged did, I first used 30ml warm naphtha, left for an hour or so, decanted then repeated twice with 10ml. I may have rushed the 2nd and 3rd pulls... I had some friends round at the time... they were looking on curiously ..!
I then filtered the collected naphtha, left out for a few hours, then into the fridge for about 12hrs, then into the freezer for a day or so. Since not much was happening I decided to evap some off. Naphtha does seem to take a while to evaporate!! After a day or so of evaporation I moved it back into the freezer. That is where I am now... checked this morning and still just a little white cloud in the middle of the jar Sad

IS there anywhere I may have gone wrong here??? Or should I just wait ....
Thx

So... a week or so later.. and not much to report. I evaped some of the naptha residue, and collected some tiny crystals, which are still drying on a coffee filter.. when I scrape up the almost dry residue, it collects into dark waxy stuff (!!?) .. and I know there was about a gram in the basified mix to begin with as I got about 1.2g of dmt+jungle spice from the other acetone pull.
I have a feeling its to do with my naphtha... maybe.. but it was bought from a chemical supplier, and should be pure.. its very heavy and takes ages to evap. I got very little freeze precipitation.

I still have the jar of naphtha.. and I still have the sodium carbonate mix which should have at least the pure jungle left in it.. so I will let that dry and pull the rest with acetone.

Just trying to see where I could have gone wrong.. one suggestion was that my naphtha may have had some water in it.. but it was fresh from a new can. I heated up the naphtha a bit, by immersing a tall jar in hot water. I am a bit gutted.. was looking forward to some nice crystals! I think next time I try to get pure dmt I will use one of the other teks with naphtha.. but I hate the smell.. limonene is sooo much nicer.
