I am not a chemist. I'm not even a kitchen chemist. I'm just some guy that can follow a tek as long as it's well written and detailed enough for even a simpleton to understand. I've done lots of research on harmaline to THH reductions and I've found around four people that have successfully accomplished it and described the process. The issue is, these successes I've found were documented in a way that doesn't allow for a non-chemist like me to feel safe and confident in trying to reproduce them.

I realize that the reduction of harmaline into THH may still be in its experimental phase, and perhaps the time hasn't come for a proper tek to be released to the masses. What I'm requesting is that if anyone thinks they know a tek that's safe and reproducible, I'm sure there's many people out there like me that would be extremely appreciative if that tek got released.

Not sure how I missed that during my initial searching. It seems to lay out a pretty easy follow plan for reducing harmaline to thh. There were concerns from some of the more educated members. For instance, the OP was using a black light to determine if the reduction was successful. I'm not too knowledgeable about this kind of stuff, but isn't there a test called a TLC that I could use to determine if the reduction was successful? Any critiques of this tek or additional knowledge would be very welcome.
