I am 58 now. In my troubled youth which meant pretty much 1970-1978 I lived under a lucky star. I was a poly drug abuser I have tried or used a lot of LSD, Mescaline, Shrooms, Quaaludes, the list goes on and on I was never arrested by some miracle. I joined the military and spent 20 years I stepped foot in 69 countries and had a good time.

I started having my feet go numb about 8 months ago and after a lot of testing they told me I had a incurable degenerative nerve disease. My daughter had me try pot for the pain and I now have my medical card. I will say they have had made some amazing advancements in pot tech since the 70's

I did some mushrooms for the first time in a couple decades a few weeks ago and I found it to be a healing experience. Coming to grips with my future which is like looking at a really slow motion car wreck. It made me realize that I was OK with dying it was the process of getting there that is going to suck.

I watched DMT the spirit molecule on netflix and read some more on it. It was always on my bucket list of things to do I just never had the opportunity. So I am going to seize the day so to speak.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome to the Nexus!

First, thank you for sharing a bit of your story with us and also for your service in the military. It is a very honorable and noble career choice. Secondly, I am sorry to hear of your ailment and I wish you well with any and all hardships that may arise because of it. It is, however, nice to hear that dosing mushrooms has allowed you to come to terms with your situation and to face it head on.

DMT is quite something, definitely worth being on a bucket list. The good news is that this site is the focal point of all things DMT, from extracting to experience reports to methods of administration...it is all here and much more. I hope you enjoy your time with this community!

Have a nice day!

Have I said something wrong, or am I missing the sarcasm? While I don't really believe in military movements or it's existence, I highly respect those who choose to fight for and defend their country when necessary, no matter what country that may be. It takes a lot of courage and steadfastness to be in that line of work. As utopian as it would be to live in a world where we all coexisted without the need for military, and everything was peachy keen and prancing through fields of flowers peacefully, this is simply not how the world is. It is sad but true.

Hey there ananda and welcome!

I'm sure you'll find that approaching psychs with intent and purpose other than getting high will be rewarding. There's a lot to be said of the combination of age, wisdom, and psychedelics.

Peace, be good to you, and welcome in!

I second what anne said, except I'm an old guy instead of an old girl...

I also second this statement of DeDao's.Big grin
Freedom's so hard
When we are all bound by laws
Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand
Unseen by all those who fail
In their pursuit of fate
