So i burnt my yopo seeds a little bit while toasting them. I read something about 30 minutes and figured they could hold their own for 60 seconds in the hot pan without burning, so I walked outside to check on something real quickly. When I returned appx 1 minute later the seeds had all puffed and some even started burning!

While peeling the coating off I noticed appx half of my seeds were scorched underneath the coating, and my resultant snuff (based with sodium carbonate/soda ash) is a DARK brown color ,looks like coffee grounds Smile woopsy!

Have I completely ruined this batch of seeds? I still plan on bioassaying at some point, just curious if anybody has experience with blackened yopo

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

After drying out a LOT the snuff has changed color to a lighter brown. I will go ahead with bioassay and next batch I make will be unburnt!
