Well, where to start...

I'm a 22 year old American male and I've browsed the Nexus quite a bit here and there, but never really felt the urge to join until recently since my most recent encounters with the spice. I smoked some deems a few times this week and it's been about two years since my previous journeys. Anyway, I'm an undergrad mechanical engineering student and I have a lot of experience with drugs, of which psychedelics are my favorite. I've pretty much done every drug at least a handful of times except for PCP and mescaline, which is only because I couldn't get my hands on them. The uhm, darker, evil drugs that I was dumb enough to try got the best of me and I ended up in inpatient rehab in August of 2014 for sixty days and I was completely clean and sober from all mind altering compounds for 18 months after that. I learned a lot about myself and life during this time and I really turned my life around from the dark direction in which it was headed. I knew deep in my heart that I couldn't say goodbye to all drugs forever and I believe that my psychedelic experiences affected me in a permanent and positive/deep way that no other mind altering compounds ever did. I am excited to start posting around here and make a presence and hopefully some friends. In September I moved to a new city where I started getting back into university (I dropped out for a year to go to rehab and restart my life) and I only have two friends here I know from way back and I haven't branched out much from them regarding deeper meaningful relationships. I'm okay with that since I'm kicking ass in school now and basically all I do is homework and go to school, work , and work out. I have a much clearer mindset on life compared to a couple years ago and things are going great with me now. Like I said previously, I am ready to continue my exploration of hyperspace and psychedelia. I recognize what a powerful tool psychedelics can be and I hope that I can contribute to some discussion around here and hopefully make some friends in the process. Much love.

Duderugs.

P.S. Wish one of you guys were here to enjoy my changa joint with me. I know it's wasteful, but the bong I ordered won't be here for a few days! D: My roommate takes too many dabs to stay up past midnight with me. I offered to share with him but he was "too tired." Heh, silly stoner.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome to the Nexus, duderugs!

Your story resonates with a lot of us, myself included. It isn't always easy to screw your head back on straight after falling off the beaten path. So in that regard, well done! I truly wish psychedelics were not labelled under the umbrella term "drugs" because they offer so much more than just an escape from reality. I myself fell down the rabbit hole of "hard drugs" for a while and had to learn how to free myself from their grip the hard way too. It wasn't fun but now that I am here, I am thankful for the experiences and that I was able to overcome such an obstacle(s).

Anyway, it is good to have you here! I'll gladly smoke that changa joint with you in spirit! Very happy

Have a good one!
