Most of the brewing tek's I have seen recommend something like 1.5L of water per brew(and 3 of them!) for just 13g A. confusa/6g Syrian Rue. I want to brew up 100g A. Confusa and 50g Rue into a batch of medicine, and am wondering if I will be wasting some of my material by only using 1.5L x3 brews for this amount of material?

I have used the search engine and am kind of lost in this regard, I don't want to have to use gallons upon gallons of water to brew up 15 doses of medicine, and would love my end brew to be somewhat in the neighborhood of one fluid oz per full journey, as the classic caapi/chacruna brews I have played with in the past have been.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share on this. Tashi Delek <3

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

You'll want enough water so that the active alkaloids have enough space to migrate into. If you are worried about losing actives you can always do more than three boils. I generally do 5 boils regardless of how much plant material I am using. Also, the pots I use can hold 2.8L usually filled about 3/4 of the way full for each boil. I know you don't want to use massive amounts of water but you'll be reducing it anyway so the only thing that will be affected is the amount of time it will take to complete the process.

I don`t know what teks you are reading Laughing

Every one I have used has always said enough to cover the plant material & maybe a bit more after that. The THP, i can see using 1500+ ML but reduction would take a solid week.

I just did a 50g MHRB brew that ended up being 1100ml total. Just below 500ml after reduction. At that concentration 50ml (or a shotglass) is a 5g dose. Any reducing much more than 0.1g/ml or 10ml/g seems to effect potency IMO.

I second concombres on this. You definitely do not want to use 1.5L per brew. 1.5L total for all three brews would be a more appropriate amount.
