I've always used cybs and earthwalkers teks, and froze and thawed my bark in the container I'm using, but now I'm doing a bigger extraction which means a bigger container, which is to big for the freezer I've got, so I'm wondering if it would be better to the boil and will the results be the same ( never boiled the bark before was always afraid I'd lose the dmt plus cybs and earthwalkers teks are so easy). Thanks

I belive that freezing is only really necessary if your bark is not a fine powder.

Cooking should not destroy dmt-salts (thats how it is present in the bark) as they have a fairly high melting/boiling point.

If you add some acid (phosphoric-acid, vinegar, lemon juice) to your boil you can be sure that all dmt is converted to dmt-salts.
salt's' because diffrent ones form depending on what acid you use.

It is often recommended to just simmer the "soup" instead of vigerously boiling, not sure what the science behind this is though.

Even if you don't boil it I think that you should get similar yields just by letting it sit in the base stage for longer. Many extractors throw out their vessels before exhausting the solution of DMT IMO.

Also I'm surprised you're not a full member yet... Joined in 2012 and with over 150 posts. I voted yes. Thumbs up
