after one try with 40g and one with 180g i found that my overall yield was just to low. The first one with 40g gave me 332mg of brown yellow gunk which was active. The secound run gave me 1,4g of the same goo. After aceton washing they always became yellow crystals but i was unhappy.

I used 0,5 liter Nanptha in the first run and 2l in the secound run. This is a lot of solvent. The secound thing that bothered me is the Kratom leaf I have causes profund effects at 3g and at 4g i puke because of overdosing. The crystal aquivalent to 3g is 50mg and 4g about 65mg. And when i take Kratom leaf i capsule it so most of the active ingredients do not get into my bloodstream. A good Kratom tee needs half to 2/3 of the same leaf for equal effects.

These two factors 1. A lot of solvent 2. to low yields made me experiment. After some tests i came up with a good TEK doing all the steps the same up until on has the basified soultion.
Then one coocks all the water out of the soultion. One is left over with chunks of plantmatter plus freebase crystal. Then one does IPA 99% pulls. After letting it sit for a day one filters out the IPA and let it evaporate. The 3rd pull is not so yellow anymore and can be done but i would not recommend it

I did a 20g extrakt with the same plant material as with the outher extracts and after 2 pulls with 100ml IPA i got 600mg crystal goodness.

Personally, I would never ingest any product extracted with acetone or IPA.

I only use water, vodka, or high proof grain alcohol such as Everclear in my kratom extractions.

Not worth the risk of ingesting residual toxic solvents IMO.

Acetone is generally considered practically non-toxic. The body actually produces it and thus is comfortable metabolizing it. It's also a 'fast' i.e. highly volatile solvent and leaves little if any residue in extractions. Acetone washes are commonly used to clean cactus extracted 'sanchez.'

While I wouldn't go drinking bottles of IPA, I wouldn't worry about it either and in fact I don't. I've used soxhlet extracted San Pedro using IPA more than once with no apparent effects on my health and I've made it to the ripe old age of... In my profession we use it and have minor exposure to it all the time. I probably absorb more through my skin in one week than ingesting all the extracts I've ever made.

That said, don't be sloppy with your lab work and be sure to evaporate to dryness. And make sure your solvents are 100% pure and evaporate cleanly without any residue.

Not a big deal imo. BP of acetone is 56°C, BP of IPA is 82°C, just make sure it's analytical quality, not technical quality, so no residues will occur. MP of Mitragynine is 104°C, so there's plenty of room for evaporation.

I still wouldn't use them, but that's just me. I'm kinda crazy.

We're exposed to enough environmental/dietary toxins, chemicals and radiation on a daily basis (especially if you live in the city) much of it out of our control, so I'll do whatever I can within my control to reduce/limit my exposure.

Now excuse me while I add another layer to my aluminum foil helmet.

the original TEK suggestes that one uses Naptha hich is more concering when it goes about personal health.

For some reason, my computer won't let me connect to the thread you linked to. Is this the same one? If so, it suggests pulling with toluene, which is probably even worse for your health. It appears to be carcinogenic to animals.

Toluene is very unnecessary, Hexan should do the trick as well:

Just curious; what solvents do you use? Sunflower oil? Usually I think of acetone as a safe(r) solvent.
