I used to have friends whom I would talk about consciousness and of what "more evolved" people would discuss. However, due to certain outcomes in life, I lost these friendship groups. Now, not only do I not have people to discuss these things with (or less people), but I found myself finding less and less of a desire to discuss these things.

I've started to talk on a more general basis of existence and meeting the level of communication with those whom I am with. Im not sure if that makes sense, but if i meet someone who wants to talk consciousness I will discuss certain ideas and concepts, however, if someone does not want to discuss these things, I feel no need to endeavour on these conversations, whilst I used to only be capable of having conversations of a "deeper nature". Now I rather appreciate whatever it is a person wants to share with me, whether that be the drugs they're taking, girls they're sleeping with, political matters, or matters on consciousness, all I find have something to teach me as I watch reactions in my Being towards the encounters/experiences.

Sometimes I wonder to myself, am I "less evolved" for not surrounding myself with those whom do discuss matters of consciousness? Am I attracting those of a "lower vibrational frequency" because I too am a lower frequency? All this information on the internet about frequency and attracting that which you are, confuses me as to whether I am at a "low or high vibrational state". To be honest, I feel I don't really attract any experiences, I feel I make a choice of where I want to be in that moment and whom I am with, but I feel I am just always with myself, alone or with "others".

Yeah, I don't talk about these things a whole lot with people, especially in every-day life or at work. Usually anymore I just go about my own business, talk with others if im spoken to, have some laughs, try to connect on some level, even though our views and interests are vastly different. Laughing with others is important imo.

Im comfortable with others not being into much of the same things. I still often find overlap in interests after i've known someone long enough (either in passing or a long time friend). People often surprise me there.

I have close friends that I cannot connect with like I used to since DMT. I still love them dearly and enjoy spending time with them, but I don't get pleasure in talking about sports stars, actors or what things to buy next like they do, my life no longer revolves around my ego. They do not like psychedelics and it makes me sad that they probably will never see the world as I do now. I realise also that I can't push my agenda on them, like Tatt said laughing with others is important.
I do not think it has anything to do with being evolved, we have been blessed with freedom from the prison that is culture and society. I see it as our duty to lead a good life of example and not to isolate ourselves amongst like minded people.
“Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.” J.D. Salinger.

Pardon the judgement, but the whole "more evolved" and "higher vibration" labels are nonsense.

Perhaps if you stop putting yourself above other people, you will be surprised to realize just how many people have meaningful things to say.

And, fwiw, evolution has little to do with the concepts you are presenting.

Exactly the thought I was going to post.

Discovering psychedelics seems to be often followed by a sense of 'enlightenment' or superiority over others which leads to the dismissal of many topics and sometimes people themselves. Resist this urge. Yes, you may now have some new insight. However, that insight is not very beneficial if it separates you from consensus reality and the people inhabiting it.

If the front door is closed, there's still the back door and from there they ain't even see it coming. I mean you can infuse anything in such a subtle way that it reaches soul smoother than any frontal offer. How a pleasant game to sow seeds incognito stealth wise. i see where the OP is at on this.

i take it one step further......
" entertainment or death"

i do rather well in life.
if someones opinion enhances that, im with it.
i have no time for fools really.

i get around most of it by running a STRONG screen.
without a formal strong introduction, im impossible to meet.
almost 100% of the people i know were screened through my team,
sometimes for months or yrs...........

in spite of that ^^^^^^^ , oddly im a local beach celeb anyway.
this always throws me.
on one hand i wanna be friendly,
on the other hand , i cant be bogged down by fool time.
life costs me $xxx.00 dollars a day to keep supplied / rolling.
anyone not adding to the supply train is a noisy sand bag.
therefore,
" entertainment or death"
no apologies.

one thing that galls me,
is that " discernment"
has become a bad word or something.
it seems anymore that a HS dropout = a PHD opinion,
OR your some kind of " elitist".........

quite simply a conversataion with fools , costs me.
im not into subsidizing like that.

This is why i was putting these things in inverted commas as I was making a comment on what is perceived as "more evolved", which i believe is total nonsense. Jesus did not surround himself with priests, monarchs and kings, but rather, surrounded himself with all beings, he spent most of his time with prosititues, the poor, the sick or the starving, however, due to the plethora of information on the internet about "high vibrations" and "more evolved beings", this can create confusion on a mental level as I do not surround myself with those who would be classified as "more evolved' or of a "higher vibration" hence the inverted commas. In reality your point on the lessons others have to share, is the point I was trying to get at, but appreciate your input.

^My comment above ^, please next time take into context inverted commas as a matter of point towards these ideas as i agree with you here .

Inverted comma by definition:
(also known as scare quotes) to draw attention to an unusual, ironic, or arguably inaccurate use:
Thank you for that unhelpful 'advice'.
His 'car' was hardly road-worthy at all.

Thank you for your interest but maybe be a bit more observant in the context in which words are applied Smile

P.S. I did edit my post and put almost all phrases based on frequency, evolution in inverted commas to make the point being portrayed more obvious, whilst still sustaining the idea that I do get confused on a mental level about these concepts because of the information out there.

very well said ^^^^^^^^

we have all met a noob that became psuedo einstien after a pill.
however,
its not the same thing as someone with life experience, travel, and education,
who takes a pill and runs with the obvious.

id also offer that the lower end of the bell curve,
is likely to be more callus than the higher end of the bell curve in listening to sanity.

its a question of discernment, consider the source.
no one is obliged to entertain based on oxygen depletion efforts.

id would suggest consensus reality falls short of our goals .

over the decades, we have all worked hard to raise psychedelic awareness.
it used to be a tough club to get in.
now its semi- mainstreamed to a degree, and not all converts are up to speed.
some will catch up, there is a learning curve. some never.

we have to ask ourselves,
at what point are we educating, and raising the bar,
and at what point were pandering.
a consensus reality based on pandering , so as not to offend a random fool,
wastes our time.

Obviously, you know yourself best, but...

Given that you are using these terms, even with quotations marks around them, it signifies that you are declaring some difference that you are seeing. Regardless of how "ironic" you try to be about these differences, the fact that you see some degree of merit in differentiating between yourself and others using these terms (even if in an "ironic" manner of sorts) or loose concepts indicates, to me, that it is not as nonsensical to you as you are now trying to suggest.

That said, I don't wish to argue about your internal conceptualizations. I'm merely suggesting that if you change the terms and constructs you are using to compare yourself to others (or perhaps stop seeking to make such hierarchical comparisons on these grounds) you may find that the "problem" resolves itself.

That's all Smile

I’ve gone through phases with both spirituality and psychedelics where I’d like to talk about it with anyone that’s willing to listen, wishing I had people to share it with in real life, to not feeling to talk about it at all and just keeping quiet.

Just like you said, i actually find the more I keep quiet about spirituality the more I see it in the ordinary, and the more i tend to attract these conversations in everyday life... a few months ago a colleague of mine who is the last person you’d expect to bring it up, mentioned how he had woken up the previous night having what he felt must be a religious experience and was very keen to discuss it. It was a conversation well worth waiting for, if people were talking about it all day everyday it wouldn’t have been so special. I don't think you can force these kinds of conversations into being, an example is when i met a priest a few weeks ago, i asked him what made him join the clergy half expecting to get into a deep conversation about life changing spiritual experiences, his reply was 'because my dad did it'.

Even though I’ve been feeling to keep quiet as of late I’m so grateful for this space. I can imagine that without communities like the Nexus many of us would feel a lot more isolated, given how few people seem to share these interests in the ‘real world’. When I have quiet periods I miss interacting here, I just find that the more opinions I read about psychedelics, spirituality and life in general, the less I tend to have one myself so have very little to say nowadays.
