Hi all, attempting Jorkest's Bufo tek with Citric Acid substitute for fumaric. Pulled nice yellow liquid in acetone, added CASA, wonderful clouds, 10 mins later clear yellow again, no solids. Have never attempted any FASA before, what happened?

16 grams de-skinned Cebil seeds, 300 ml acetone pull ran through THP over 30 times, with about 50 ml/5 gram CASA added. Thanks, really want to make this work!

I realize this is a small scale extraction but SWIM just wanted to do a test, is it just TOO small? SWIM expected at least something!

16 g is indeed small. The same thing happened to SWIM when he tried CASA : a nice cloud... and nothing solid (from 100g). SWIM prefer to avoid this tek now.
Anyway you can evaporate your acetone, add some base, a bunch to be sure that all the citric acid is freebased and add acetone again. However, from 16g, that may means 160 mg or less. That's a very small amount of material.

Thank you I wasn't thinking, I thought all was lost but yes the citrate can still be freebased excellent! 25 grams was the starting weight but after peeling, a tedious task, much was lost due mainly to the frustration of getting every last yellow bit out. Which tek would you suggest for SWIM? Fumaric acid seems hard to come by in the area and even Ron has posted a CASA tek.

Peeling is useless (SWIM tried it once). SWIM tried several teks, his most succesfull was with MEK+naphta.
However here is what he will do the next time :

Crunch and mix with carbonate sodium.
Add acetone
Filter and evaporate
Clean the crude extract with boiling limonene.
