I got a week off work and some incredible quality time with my family. Love

I also found an Amanita muscaria ornament on my grandparents' christmas tree, and was presented with the beautiful opportunity to educate my family on the shamanic use of A. muscaria and the role it may have played in inspiring modern Christmas traditions such as Santa Claus and hanging stockings over the fireplace. They were very impressed! Big grin Another interesting artifact I found in my grandparents' house was a 1977 issue of National Geographic that features an article about the Huichol people of Mexico.

One of the coolest gifts I received was a certificate indicating that my mother had adopted an owl at our local raptor conservation center. I also received a book of Alex Grey artwork, a book about Janis Joplin, a new pair of gloves, a new pair of socks, and some cash to make up for the days of work that I missed.

Djembe, delicious rainbow trout, and the cat is still alive in this heat. All the fam bam are here too and I got to cook dinner for the first time.......it went well....except the MJ cookie hit a little harder than I anticipated, peaking when I cut the lamb and served up....turkey is not a good antidote for cotton mouth.

fired an enemy, and raided the gift shop under a full moon.

that was over and above all the usual treasure and goodies.
xmas at the club is about allegiance and bribery for good will.
all the santa stuff is for the tourists / guests.

So far, a bag of gummy bears, a sketch pad, a cup of coffee and some weed. I'm heading out for a mushie hunt so well see what else the day offers up.

This has been the best holiday in memory, the first Xmas inside since 2012, warm and cozy! And I've done a stellar job locking the compound against Christmas influences and therefore have easily and successfully ignored it!
Thumbs up
Freaky Friday, everybody and merry full moon!

Was a great Christmas with family and friends, which is more important than how much you get but unfortunately a lot of people lose sight of that. On a slightly hypocritical note I got a easle so no more painting on the floor for me...Pleased
“Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.” J.D. Salinger.

Give and receive. Pleased

I was gifted with homemade/organic waffles and maple syrup, other quality foods, a bamboo cutting board and utensils, clothes, pocket knife, books with sources of botanicals/fungi, a baby elwoodi plant(chamaecyparis lawsoniana), and a few more valuable items.

Be grateful for life and appreciate this full moon. Here's to the greatest moments(this very moment, as well) and forthcoming experiences within the next fresh year of 2016! Smile

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

I got to spend Christmas with my family. We had a delicious feast and I got to tinker on the old family piano for everyone and then I whipped out the ol' trumpet too (got to take the trumpet home with me. It was mine from when I played in middle school). Love

My lady got me a bunch of awesome percussion equipment, including bongos, congas, a meditative "singing bowl" with Ganesha and the symbol for "om" engraved in it, and a rainstick. Now I'll be able to add some nice percussive additions to my music! Perhaps I'll attach a pic tomorrow when I have more time.

My family got me a gift card to my favorite restaurant, a nice dress shirt, and a portable phone charger. Overall it was pretty nice! Good times!

Merry Christmas!

Love

Entheogenerator we also have our own amanita ornament that has been in the family for as long as anyone can remember... although if I tried to explain the possible significance of that to them they would be a little less than interested Razz I'll attach a pic

I got a great dose of family fun. Ate badly and drank way too much for a week, but got to hang out with family members that I love bonding with and don't get to see enough. Gave clothes, books, video games and star wars stuff and got kitchen tools, 25 dollars, books and single malt scotch.

I tend to agree with Jamie, the festival of consumerism is out of control and hard to stomach. I do my best to avoid it but the absurdity of baby Jesus meets santa multiplied by (insert corporation) is really confronting down here in Australia when the temp is 35+ and there are plastic reindeers and snowmen everywhere. In the antipodes we hold tightly to the myths, traditions and institutions of Empires old and new but with little understanding or respect for the true history of this Ancient land and peoples. Mmm bit of topic Embarrased

I spent the time alone at home with my sick dog as my partner went interstate to visit family. So I missed out on family time. She did gift me with a beautiful print that she made titled Dream of the Infinite Rooms.

I had a cup of home grown Cappi tea for breakfast and Changa for xmas dinner. It was my 1st experience, no break throughs but I spent a couple of hours testing the waters so to speak. Rough seas at first, got locked in loops, tied myself to the mast and the calm prevailed. My dog went a bit mechanical for a bit which seemed to exentuate his condition and discomfort. My arms and hands morphed and became real smooth and slightly elongated, kind of felt synthetic. I Didn't get up to look at my face or the rest of my body but will do so if that ever happens again.

Anyway we have the New Year to look forward to, wipe the slate clean, then its back in to the same mindless routine, dancing to the tune of consumerism and chasing someone elses dream while the planet burns.

Peace and Love to you all.

[color=red]Our world is in crisis because of the absence of consciousness. To whatever degree any one of us can bring back a small piece of the picture and contribute it to the building of the new paradigm, then we participate in the redemption of the human spirit.

the xmas season and general winter fest is a primal thing indeed.

above and beyond the treasure thing,
its really about who your peeps are.

most treasure i rake in, i could have had if i wanted it anyway.
so its not about treasure.
its about where your people stand, gifts are a common thing indeed,
but, over the yrs ive seen some not so common gifts, that exceed treasure.

sure at face value , its about raw swag and popularity,
but on a deeper level, its hooking up your people.

whats odd in my case, is for me to give a gift openly.
it would be brazen playing public favorites anytime /yr round.
social suicide in my circle,
so,
I TAKE CARE OF MY PEEPS YEAR ROUND IN BIG WAYS,
and ,then every xmas i always say, i dont want anything , cuz i dont,
so dont expect anything......... i actually step away from it every yr.
and then every yr , peeps shower me with stuff to a shameless degree anyway.
and it appears to be xmas,
but ,for the most part its more like thanx goodies cuz i "saved" em all last yr........
and, peeps trying to treasure shock me for favor. wich cant be done.
the result is,....
maid winds up with half the crap anyway. my bedroom is only so big,
the reason she got a tab 4 is cuz i already have a twin set of black and white ones.
i was born re-gifting , its genetic.
the irony is re-gifting good stuff seems to fuel it all even more.
so theres no winning even trying to have good karma on this,
its a test of grace really.

my offering is,
the winter fest should be heart warming and social bonding,
treasure is fun, but it really never matters anyway.
so,
like take care of your peoples everyday year round.
let em throw treasure at you on holidays if they want.
sometimes its the only way peeps understand to say thanx.
accept it with grace, cuz its ancient and primal for people to share treasure mid winter.
spread good will all year,
and ya have to expect material backlash on the xmas time.

thats said, if its about treasure, xmas is nothing,
its all about valentines day.

all the love to everyone 2015.
lets see what everyone gets next yr.
