Hello, I am getting up to speed very quickly on topics which I have had little interest in for over ten years all through the magic of DMT. I have a stack of books on philosophy, theology, physics and mathematics but was wanting help with books regarding the exploration of consciousness through psychedelics. Was going to start with DMT: The Spirit Molecule, any help after that on my quest for knowledge would be greatly appreciated. “Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.” J.D. Salinger.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Have you looked through the book bin sticky in the Music/Art/Literature section? There are tons of suggestions there, on a wide range of subjects. I am currently about to finish Magicians of the Gods by Graham Hancock. It has been quite interesting to say the least. New to The Nexus? Check These Out: One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Thank you for the list KillaNoodles, yes I intend to only grab two to three books from these recommendations as I have been to ambitious on my reading lists many a time. No The Grateful One, I will check that out promptly! Thanks. “Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. Prepare to read varied stuff, but forget about planning an itinerary...it didn't work like that for me What will probably happen: you'll follow a thread, until it becomes 'unfollowable'. That's the sign you need to switch lanes, usually towards something deep and weird you'd been putting off, but actually turns out to be highly useful in the long-term... And then you go back. Rinse and repeat. If I had to name one author to go to now, I'd say Stephen Harrod-Buhner. Very wise, very wide-ranging, down with the plants, and beer too, but writes about waking up the feeling-sense that you have been taught to ignore eloquently and with illumination. That feeling-sense crops up everywhere, once you get it, and it is the Key, IME. Steiner, and all the shamanic texts too, rely on it, but SHB brings it to you, now, in a way that is edible. Also, recognise the Middle-Path. Balance is key, and don't be lured by those who say it isn't... “I sometimes marvel at how far I’ve come - blissful, even, in the knowledge that I am slowly becoming a well-evolved human being - only to have the illusion shattered by an episode of bad behaviour that contradicts the new and reinforces the old. At these junctures of self-reflection, I ask the question: “are all my years of hard work unraveling before my eyes, or am I just having an episode?” For the sake of personal growth and the pursuit of equanimity, I choose the latter and accept that, on this journey of evolution, I may not encounter just one bad day, but a group of many.” ― B.G. Sounds right up my alley! Thank you for the sound advice as well Chan. “Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. I recommend The Tryptamine Palace by James Oroc. An experiential spiritual journey into the realms of 5MEO DMT which embraces and seduces utilising the language of quantum physics as well as shamanic, mystic or sacred religious teachings. Articulations by Julian Palmer. Julians committment to exploring hypersapce is pretty impressive, lots of great insights from the creator of Changa. Currently I'm reading Mystery School in Hyperspace: A Cultural History of DMT. by Graham St John [color=red]Our world is in crisis because of the absence of consciousness. To whatever degree any one of us can bring back a small piece of the picture and contribute it to the building of the new paradigm, then we participate in the redemption of the human spirit. Sounds right up my alley! Thank you for the sound advice as well Chan. You're more than welcome, JD! I began with Buhner's "Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm", which I found dazzling in its breadth, but others might prefer one of his shorter books, or his guide to brewing herbal beer “I sometimes marvel at how far I’ve come - blissful, even, in the knowledge that I am slowly becoming a well-evolved human being - only to have the illusion shattered by an episode of bad behaviour that contradicts the new and reinforces the old. Sailor Song, by Kesey Anything by Tom Robbins Neither of these are necessarily relevant to tripping, per se, but they laid a lot of the fictional groundwork in my subsequent journeys. My eyes shut tight to avoid the sight Anticipating the end, losing the will to fight Droplets of "yes" and "no" In an ocean of "maybe"
