With the rampant popularity of acacia confusa I feel that it is relevant to try and gather as much information as possible on acacia extraction techniques. Most extracting with acacias seem to precipitate a highly psychoactive dmt/nmt "full spectrum" alkaloid goo. While its potency is widely recognized, full spectrum goo can be very difficult to measure and handle. This problem can be solved inmost cases by simply letting the goo sit in the precipitation dish for several weeks. After only a few days, a few crystals will appear in the clear goo at the bottom of the dish. After 2-3 weeks the dish should be fully crystallized and scrape up as a yellowy waxy solid. Any tips or feedback on this process are greatly appreciated. Info on a mini a/b or re-x vs this method are highly appreciated. There seems to be a difference between the light powdery spice and heavy yellow crystals in terms of experience.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

It's nice to know about the goo, I am going to attempt an acacia extraction with a friend soon and we intend on trying several teks. Will let you know the results within a couple of weeks. I definitely agree with you on the need to gather information on this plant!
“Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.” J.D. Salinger.

Hello. The problem with the goo/wax seems to be oxidation over time, so it has a shortened shelf life. For this reason many people use the mini A/B such as in Earthwalkers version of Cyb's salt tek. The other reason being ease of dosing.
But if storage/ease of dosing is not an issue, goo/wax/jungle seems fine or even preferable.
For example, it is perfect for making changa & enhanced leaf.

Using heptane as NP solvent when doing STB, then evaporating in a warm garage over a few days has produced orange oily crystals consistently. This oran crystals is crumbley but easy to handle and weigh Freeze precip producee white crystals but there was still a little oil-ness even to that but slight.

I am no expert by any means but have made a few observations with ACRB Goop Post

I just think the full spectrum stuff tastes bad (personal experience). The crystals are wonderful a lot like flowers!Rolling eyes

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

I second Intezam. Cyb's tek with Earthwalkers cleanup steps works very well for Acacia. No need to let it sit for weeks and weeks. You can go from bark to vaping crystals in one to two days (the amount of time depends on many factors. For instance, my work schedule interferes a lot so usually I have to stretch my extraction over the course of a few days.)...

Welcome to the Nexus, by the way!

Smile

Edit: The DMT/NMT mixture results in milder trips, IME. Vaping pure DMT vs DMT/NMT are world's apart so be careful with that goo!

I've only had experience with orange crystals from Acacia. Gotta find out where the Mimosa is at for a weighted comparison. I really like the Acacia full spectrum stuff. Since I'm getting orange crystal, I'm assuming it's mostly DMT though or maybe the goo just dried out enough???

Thanks for all the feedback! It seems that acacia typically requires more advanced methods such as a mini a/b as described in EW's brilliant TEK or a re-x which would probably take much less work but result in a lower yield than a mini a/b due to the inevitable loss of weight during the re-x process. With past samples of acacia, an a/b extraction following Cyb's salt tek with a couple of minor alterations always resulted in about .05% yield. When freeze precipitated a small amount of off white crystals were obtained in addition to a vastly larger amount of psychoactive goo. Although the goo is great on its own, I agree that it is ideal for changa which is an amazing experience that seems to present things from a different perspective than freebase, although I can't really elucidate or fully understand how. A mini a/b or Re-x seem to be ideal in obtaining a cleaner product, although the goo that slowly crystallizes over a serious of weeks is incredibly potent. Other samples of acacia seem to produce a much clearer solvent with almost no yellow which yield a goo after evaporation which crystallizes in a different way than that precipitated out a dark yellow solvent. Not sure what would happen as a result of freeze precipitation but I think it's worth a shot. Some samples of acacia seem to contain less fats and carbolines than others and should result in a cleaner product with out as much effort required as some samples. Still, when required, I agree that the extra mile is always worth traveling.
