First of all, I don't know if this post belongs in the LSD forum or not, so if it needs to be moved, forgive me.
Moving onward, I want to share a little bit about an entity I encountered that appears to be tied somewhat to LSD. What is curious is that I didn't meet this entity on an actual LSD trip, but rather in a dream. Of course, there is always the question of "what this being external or just a phenomenon of my subconscious mind", which we could argue about until we're blue in the face. I personally believe in the external existence of myriad spiritual entities, so that belief will color my account of this encounter.
Without going into a full report of the dream (which also had other aspects to it), here are some of the points about this entity that I encountered:
*He is a shapeshifter. He can take many forms, although the form he felt most comfortable revealing himself in to me was one of a one-dimensional, black, stylized depiction of a human - not unlike Mr. Game and Watch from Super Smash Bros, et al.
*He is a trickster, fond of mischief and shenanigans.
*He can exist in many realms, but feels most comfortable in the astral space of an LSD trip.
*He is an embodiment of flux; he feels comfortable in a state of awareness of constant change.
*He has a close relationship with humanity, but is easily forgotten. In the dream both my father (who experimented with LSD in his youth) and I had no memory of him, and this seemed to sadden him, but he was able to psychically help us remember the many times we had encountered him on our respective psychedelic trips/other spiritual experiences.
*He likes to initially disguise himself, partly for comedic value; he related to my father how many times he disguised himself as Coyote (my father's spirit animal), only to reveal himself as being one trickster disguised as another.
*Despite the above features, he was beloved to us; he cares for humanity.
I find this dream interesting, because I've always found LSD to be the most mutable psychedelics I've experienced. Obviously all psychedelics rely to some extent on set and setting, but I've always found that set and setting can dramatically alter the very character of an LSD trip, whereas other psychedelics have more of an inherent "character" to them. This has led me to wonder what the character of an "LSD entity" would be. What kind of being could be at home in the mercurial, intangible essence of an acid trip? Clearly a shapeshifting, wandering trickster.
