I dig your prose.
Jungian archetypes are indeed an important part, in my opinion, in trying to make sense of psychedelic hyperspace. They certainly help explain things like religious scriptures and ancient mythology.
Seeing as you are a fan of archetypes, you should check out this here thing, aptly titled "
Strange-face illusion". The coolest part of the experiment is that it can be easily replicated at home. Candles work best. Make sure the light source is not directly shining into the mirror.
WAY cooler still if you are on a nice dose of something.
My question for you is: Are the archetypes reflections of the ego, or is ego the reflection of the archetypes? You have read "The Doors of Perception" so I take it you are familiar with the idea of the "collective unconscious".
Maybe the archetypes are "spirits". We certainly don't have any control over them or how they affect us. Maybe our brains are a focal point for archetypes (spirits) to interact with each other and evolve, using us as mindless little meatspace controllers.
Just my take on things.
P.S. I am 98% sure you were my favorite professor of all time.
Once in a while, you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
