my interest in herbal sedatives has been increasing since i learned about kratom. only issue with kratom is tolerance/addiction. so when i ask if you know of any herbal sedatives i mean noticeable ones, so far i have: kratom - strong, enjoyable blue lotus - mild valerian - makes me tired but no enjoyable effects kava - its illegal in the uk, so all i can find are extracts. as i remember the root is nice
for me chamomile, passion flower, california poppy, damiana, skullcap all dont work. please tell me if you have any ideas, but things that are actually noticable
thanks

It's just one of those things where the effects vary a lot from person to person.

California poppy works for me (even if it doesn't work for you). Are you sure you got quality product? Ditto skullcap. Has to be the right species. Kava illegal in the UK? Not illegal enough, for example, that it can't be prescribed by a medicinal herbalist, under the appropriate circumstances. “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work." ― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli

·L-Theanine ·L-tryptophan ·5-hydroxy-tryptophan ·Kava ·GABA ·Meletonin (n-acetyl-5-methoxy-tryptamine) ·Passionflower ·California Poppy ·Melissa officinalis ·Motherwort ·Skullcap ·Damiana ·Lotus spp ·Erythrina mulungu ·Pedicularis densiflora ·Chamomile ·anise hyssop ·prickly poppy ·Calea zacatechichi ·lobelia inflata ·Lactuca virosa
There are many more but I figured this would be a good start, I'll add any more as I think of them, I know there are a few good ones I forgot, I'm also aware that some of the listed items are not herbs, but as natural sedatives I thought they qualified.
I hope this helped and was a good start.

Ashwagandha root(Indian ginseng) has noticeable effects on stress reduction and sedative activity, among various other beneficial effects. I also concur with the above lists. 'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'
