@astro
Your unknown acacia #1 is most certainly a juvenile Melanoxylon, those smaller bi-pinnate leaves are a dead ringer for mela. Smile Even on the larger trees most new growth begins with bi-pinnate leaves, this is typical of Melanoxylon (and they are everywhere Smile )
One of of the less examined acacias for tryptamines, but the wood sounds spectacular as a six stringed instrument.

Inconsistency is in my nature.

Thankyou DreaMTripper for clearing up a few of the IDs, I'll adjust my post accordingly.

I look forward to making a much more reliable and legible thread that makes identification much easier, I have some ideas to do this, I'll come up with something that might be worthy of a sticky Smile

I have another one that is currently in flower that I have noticed along the freeways and out in bushier areas, most of the ones I have seen seem to be up to 5m tall and spreading in all directions, thin branches and speckled with singular ball flowers. Phyllodes are thin and short (under 10cm) and evenly spaced along the branches, slight curve to them but generally erect and pointing in all directions rather than weeping and a single vein in the centre of leaves

Acacia deanei subsp. deanei?, or maybe Acacia Pruinosa?

Acacia Excelsa?

Both found in white cypress pine communities on level sandy/calcareous soils in the northern tablelands of NSW.

I found this beautiful specimen that has been ravaged by some thoughtless and careless people. Could I get an ID on this?

that's pretty mild damage relatively speaking Bodhisativa to some of what i've seen with that poor species..

it's basically why i've stopped all IDs and most net-acacia posting while i try to do things in their aid, and to bring about the demise of those responsible..and i'm serious about that..

Is there anything I can do to help this particular tree? I was thinking of pruning the damaged parts, so water doesn't escape via evaporation.

No point pruning, the tree will heal itself and form a callus over the wound in time or die back, no point cutting back something if it will still survive.

Hi guys,

I lived in Indonesia for a while where I have found several species of Acacia.
My wife is on Bali at the moment and took some nice pictures.
I'm not intending to harvest from those trees once identificated but more interested in identification as we own a nice piece of land in Sumatra where we would be able to grow a few trees from the seeds.
Your help is much appreciated.

I think it might be Acacia Auriculiformis in the picture.

Thanks Smile Might not be so interesting growing as I'm not that interested in 5-MEO DMT at the moment.

You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you.
