So apparently this org is trying to start a non denominational Aya " church" in the US. I've got some pretty big issues with them, not the least of which is the fee structure. A "sliding scale" of $1500 to $2000 per head, per ceremony.

Also this kind of rhetoric from their site:
"The only way we can do that, is to very thoroughly screen, and sift through the thousands of people who are interested, and only allow those who are coming with the purest, highest intentions. Who are coming with the intentions of service and the awakening of the world, in their heart."

This rubs me all kinds of wrong. Am I wrong? I'm catching a lot of flack from folks who seem to think that healing should be reserved for the monied.

I'm not linking to thier site.

Is it the same place/people as in this article? I kept seeing this article popping up.

First legal ayahuasca retreat to open in the U.S.

Yeah, i don't know about this. Personally, I think i'll stick with solo-experiences or the occasional 2-3 person get-together on land around these parts.

Yup.

I just found a statement by ONAC stating that the org behind AH is not a legitimately recognized Native American church and that anyone attending should procure I'd from ONAC or another.

Also just got castigated and called " a lost person with all the answers" by an acolyte for questioning the fees and suggesting they set up scholarships.

I am liking these guys less and less.

They say they are the first to challenge the DEA. What about SD, UDV and now Church of Munay?

Glad I'm not the only one feels this way. That's where I found out about them was on social media and when I posted a response that didn't eat them with glowing accolades I was called names. Yeah, he's full of it.

That's a whole lotta crap.

My theory is that they've set up a fake accounts to post glowing accolades about themselves all over the Internet in the social media posts that they're putting – all over the Internet

I've seen fairly reputable names in the field sharing on their Facebook pages.

Many psychedelic celebrities are keen on acritical circle-jerking, imo.

This is the paradigm we're trending into as the "psychedelic scene" becomes more chic, and predatory demagogues seek larger audiences to push their agendas on, imo.

Yeah, right? It seems people are willing to overlook any kind of ethical lapses for anyone " working their ass off" to "provide medicine". I have been flamed mercilessly for questioning this "church".

Unfortunately demand so outstrips supply that someone could operate like this and be defended.

Ugh.

No more need to go to Peru.

(At least to do it legally)
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.

a twitter audit on the account @TrinitydeGuzman shows that 36,374 followers are fake bots, one would assume that he or his organization bought these bots to appear more legit. You do not just magically atttract bots on twitter.

It seems their website is now down... "in order to ensure our Ayahuasca USA Retreats are 100% legal, we are upgrading our website to be in total compliance with the Codes of Ethics and Conduct of the Oklevueha Native American Church."

"We respectfully realize we are 100% full of poo. Please bear with us while we attempt to bring our fecal content down to more tolerable levels. Please remember that should we succeed in attaining sub-fecal-saturation levels, we are still interested in maximizing our profits at your expense. Thank you and have a nice day Smile"

Funny thing is ONAC called them out for the same things they themselves do, but then retracted their statement and now welcome in these scammers.... Guess they finally paid up enough cash?
