Hey guys! I'm relatively new here as a member however ive been researching here for the past 2 years and tomorrow night i will be preforming my own custom extraction from 100g of P.Virdis. Im going along with some of iron's old tek, modifed it a bit myself, and added a further recrystalization at the end using heptane. Ill be sure to update this thread with pictures! Right now im going to be using several beakers along with my beautiful 1000ml sep funnel cant wait! If any of you have any tips for me please do let me know. If this comes out to be succesful i will post all data along with my tek. Wish me luck!

Is this your first extraction? Or your first P.Virdis extraction?

First overall, decided to do P.Viridis as it was cheaper and easier to find for me, and its the hawaiin straing too

Update: as with a lot of first timers, i was going into unknown territory, weather i messed up or the tek didn't work i will not know. I am now going to attempt doing an extraction using cybs hybrid salt tek with ACRB. hopefully this works!

You definitely don't need a 1000ml sep funnel for 100g of starting material...

Keep it simple...oversized lab equipment doesn't make for a better extraction. I'd strongly suggest reading entropymancer's extraction overview

That was an awesome read, i use my 1000ml sep funnel as majority of extraction end up going into the 700+ml range.
