Hello, Nexus!

I have been lurking for a while, not posting anything, partly due to anxiety. I am starting to overcome that, now, so posting will only help more. This initial post might be a bit incoherent, though. I will just do my best. Smile

The Nexus looks like a beautiful community with varied points of view on many subjects, which I applaude! DMT is truly something of a mystery, which I hope I understand more about in my journey through life.

Psychedelics-wise, I have mostly used Cannabis, some Psilocybin, some LSD, or what I now think might have really been 25I-NBOMe, Syrian Rue, a few times alone and once with some Chacruna, and two small doses of vine-only Ayahuasca brew.

I have an interest in computer game design, programming, meditating, drumming, reading manga, listening to meditative music and various metal-based genres. I enjoy discussing and debating philosophical subjects of all kinds. I enjoy my raw vegetable and fruit smoothies.

I look forward to being part of the Nexus community more, than just observing from the sidelines! Smile

Cheers,
Kyle

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome!

Come on in man, the water is fine! Very happy

Good to see another drummer is on board, well actually I play guitar, piano/keyboards/synths, trumpet, percussion of all sorts including the full kit, bass and I try to sing. Music is a passion of mine that i just couldn't live without!

I've been looking for some new Manga to get into. Could you suggest anything for me? I mostly just watch Anime (Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, Full Metal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Naruto, Soul Eater etc etc...) but would love to read a good Manga!

Anyway, welcome once again and hopefully you'll be able to find what you are seeking here!

PEACE

Not that I have an drumkit, yet, not having had the money, but I desperately want one, one of these days. For now, I just practice by "air-drumming", if that is even a word.

Abide in the Wind is a favourite Korean comic that I really enjoy.

Right on, man! Air drumming is a very important and often under utilized technique! I like to use it in combination with a practice pad which is one of those rubber things you lay over your snare drum to keep it quiet or you can use it all by itself...and they are pretty cheap.

My first so-called "drum kit" was a snare drum my folks got me for Christmas many many years ago and an ottoman (one of those cushion things you rest your feet on while on the couch) was used as my "bass drum." Good times! Laughing Currently I have an orange 5-piece Yamaha kit. It is pretty decent, nothing high end.

Thank you for the link! I will definitely be checking it out!
