Thank you all for opening your gates and allowing new members such as myself to join! I found DMT-Nexus a while ago and quickly realized that it was not like most other forums; it is truly a beautiful place to share knowledge and impart wisdom.
A little about myself: I'm a college student studying biochemistry with a focus on cancer research. I started experimenting with psychedelics while in high school. My girlfriend attempted to grow mushrooms (sclerotia) and I attempted to extract DMT. However, we both failed. Once in college we tried again and we were both successful at our respective endeavors. I am also experimenting with nootropics (they seem to potentiate psychedelic experiences and improve cognitive function) and vaping (e-cig) spice.
I view psychedelics, specifically spice, as a means of achieving emotional, mental, and spiritual betterment. It serves as my teacher that helps me be more aware of myself, my surroundings, and others. DMT is helping me become the person I want to be.
Nexus projects for the very near future: 1) Write a detailed tek for a simple ACRB extraction that has a >2.4% yield. 2) Write a brief guide to nootropics and perhaps start a discussion regarding their interactions with psychedelics. 3) Write a straightforward guide to vaping DMT with an e-cig/mod as I noticed that there are very few.
Later on I hope to experiment with MAOIs and write about my experience with them and perhaps try spice with other compounds such as MDMA and psilocybin to see if I get a different type of teacher.
I look forward to getting to know you all and learning what you have to share! Sincerest regards and please stay safe!

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome to the Nexus! I have a sneaking suspicion you will get along fine here! Biochemistry with a focus on cancer research is an admirable and honorable career goal, to say the least. I don't really have any sort of knowledge in that area but I highly respect those who do. So kudos to you! Anyway, I hope you are able to find and achieve everything you want to here at the Nexus! Can't wait to hear more about your projects! Keep us posted and have a nice day! PEACE -The Grateful One- New to The Nexus? Check These Out: One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Thank you very much for your kind words The Grateful One and Spaced Out 2! Cancer is quite a challenging disease to fully grasp and no one quite understands it yet; I think that's part of what draws me to research it - the sheer mystery and intelligence of the disease. And of course the fact that it's such a huge plague on all of us. Anyways, I will definitely keep you all posted and once I get full membership (at least I hope I will... ) I will being typing up my guides and taking pictures! Stay tuned! Best wishes

You're quite welcome Wish you the best in your research, you are right that it's a plague right now. Who knows, you dabbling with psychedelics might give you some insight or edge making a major contribution to the field, we have been struggling with this disease for a long time and really at best have only suppressed it a little, some can recover and some dont, my wife's mom did not and lost a 3 year battle with it at a young age of 48yrs. But I know there's important advances being made which I've read about and can't seem to remember the terms used for them but it sounded pretty promising. I don't know if you're aware but there are some doctors on here that maybe you can collaborate/chat with on this subject. Anyways Godspeed to a cure

I'm really sorry to hear that. My sincerest condolences. Cancer shows no remorse and needs to be stopped as it takes lives way before their time. I'll definitely try to reach out to those doctors on here. Thanks for letting me know of their existence!
