I dont know if this has been adressed but I noticed a few things in the dmt handbook that I think might need a second look...
I was reading the extraction procedures when a few a things caught me a little off guard...

1 The amounts specified seem *WAY* inconsistent with our attitude rules (2 kilograms!) Yet our rules post no large scale extractions.
That's a lot of dmt even for extracting from Acacia Obtusifolia. Even more so when you account for Mimosa Hostilis and Acacia Confusa being the most popular plants to extract from (at least from the threads/teks Ive read lately). Am I missing something here?

2 The extraction pulls are carried out in a plastic jug. Am I being over cautious with this one? I was under the impression naphtha can leach plastic? As per this thread:

I am in favor of it. I have processed and cooked well over 10 kg of bark because not all bark contains over 1%. In fact on floribunda like acacias I was getting somewhere around .1 from the bark and even less in the outside bark (solid stuff not whiter fibrish stuff). I have done many extractions and know what I am doing. Not only that buy some people use phalaris grass which requires bulk. Not everyone has the privilege of MHRB, confusa etc.

The plant used in the tek was Acacia Obtusifolia which contains between 0.15% and 0.6% alkaloids. The yield was 13.4 grams of Dmt... Which imho is a whole lot.

A bulk tek may be appropriate for trees\plants with widely varying alkaloid contents but I was more concerned with how much was yielded with Acacia Obtusifolia. Becuase it was the example shown.

Anything over 5 grams is excess imo. But over 10 grams?!?! Thats wildly excessive. Again just my opinion.

And then theres the plastic issue...

Ok, perhaps my yeilds were a bit less than that then but considering 5 grams shared between 5 friends is 1 gram each then it is pretty standard. Maybe change the title to "happy pals group extraction time"

I think if anything on the wiki needs to be updated it is to put in a new trip level scale so that people can see where they were with the effects they experienced. That could help a lot of people like me who are hesitant about breakthroughs, which I know there are a lot!

How much 5 grams is is relative to the situation of the user. Some people like a lot of low doses over a long period of time and can burn through a gram or two in a night. They may feel that helps them more than what terrence mckenna suggested "infrequently and at high doses".

It's like telling weed growers to only bud their few plants at 2 foot high.

The yeild in the dmt handbook is 13+ grams though... Not 5. 5 would be enough spice for awhile (for me) and isnt horribly excessive but its still at the brink imho. Different folk different strokes.
All that aside... there is still the issue of a plastic extraction vessel. Which imo is just sloppy.
