Hello everyone,

First off I would like to say that I have been a part of the Nexus for a long time, I rarely ever post anything but I have always been here on the forum reading and learning. I have long since partaken in the same things as many of you, from experimenting with mushrooms, dmt, and mescaline to cultivating them. I consider it a bygone hobby of mine and a particular phase of my life. From my many years of psychedelic experiences my focus has shifted to the nature of consciousness, as psychedelics has opened my mind to it. That is why I am posting this topic tonight, because I am hoping I can find volunteers for a thought experiment I am currently performing.

Now I know advertising isn't allowed on the Nexus, but I'm not trying to sell anything I'm just looking to pay volunteers to help me with my research. I only post it on here because I know most of you are open minded and it does have a lot to do with the psychedelic experience.

The research study involves performing mental exercises for about 5 minutes once per week. You can do it from home, and you can earn up to $50 a week. If you're interested please respond.

I have been reading your research paper for about 2 hours now…
I am interested in contributing to your experiment. I am in the learning/experimental phase of my experience with entheogens, but I have unlocked something. It's given me more questions than answers, but depending on your experiment, I think I may be useful.
I just want to find the truth, whatever that is, wherever it leads. I am inspired by your research and I hope I can help somehow.

I just read this from your paper -

Definition of Consciousness:
“Perception or awareness of the surroundings around a point of reference.”

I'd suggest there are occasions when there is no awareness of surroundings nor indeed a point of reference. Certainly some reports of 5-meo-dmt would say neither of these is present but consciousness by itself, in itself, is the all consuming experience.
