So for my A Levels I have to write a graded article and I have chosen to write about DMT, please could you answer a few questions for me Smile
and could you include your first name and age as well? (optional though) MOD EDIT: Personal info Not Acceptable Thankyou
1. What were your best and worst trips? (just a small extract will do)
2. How has it changed you since first taking it?
3. Would you do it again and why?
4. What are your opinions on it's legal status?
Thanks people Smile

1. What were your best and worst trips? (just a small extract will do)

Well it’s a cliché but my best DMT trip was also my worst. Took a huge amount of some very potent Chaliponga (with Syrian rue) and went to full on level 5 hyperspace for an hour or so.

I always describe it as being the most intense intensity, intensifying ever more intensely! Not trying to be pretentious thats honestly what its like! Already waaay too intense getting more and more intense and endlessly!

It was like a big bang or the birth and or destruction of the entire universe with I myself being the universe!

It was so powerful that I felt literally as if my brain was so overloaded I would just mentally implode, holding on for dear life the entire time, and promising I would never ever do it again.

As soon as I felt even the slightest reduction or stabilization of the effects though the relief brought on perhaps my greatest of all experiences ever. I am not sure if there is anything better in this life than traveling through hyperspace without any fear! Its like flying through space only much more astounding (understatement) than black and boring space would be!

I think the movie the matrix must have been based upon the DMT experience rather than my DMT trips the movie and for me that’s pretty much what full on hyperspace is. Unplugging into a machine behind a massive big illusion or delusional dream world.

It’s an utterly ineffable experience and describing it really only serves to cheapen it greatly as there is literally no way to possibly convey the magnitude of the experience or the profound otherworldliness of what seems to be an arcane and metaphysical reality that is hidden and embedded within the physical one. Its like one of those computer games that the developers (in this case God I suppose) have hidden another game inside!

2. How has it changed you since first taking it?

Impossible to say. I think people get egotistical about psychedelics and DMT sometimes and like to convince themselves they have 'changed forever' as a way convincing themselves they are suddenly in possession of a greater knowledge or intelligence than other people. That they perhaps know something that others don’t. Really though the knowledge I got from hyperspace is akin to the experience or non-physical reality of hyperspace itself and totally metaphysical. I have a vague sense of there being something out there but there isn’t anything I learned that I can do really do anything with. You defo learn more growing shrooms than you do taking them in my opinion!

With hyperspace you can’t really bring anything back through customs with you. It has for sure defiantly made me a more spiritual person in the sense that I am far more open minded as to the possibility of there existing other non physical entities in the universe.

3. Would you do it again and why?

Yes simply because it’s the single most incredible experience a human being can and ever will have. Its…I just can’t tell you!

4. What are your opinions on it's legal status?

I believe its evil and violently criminal in itself to put people in jail for using or making DMT or any psychedelics for themselves so I would be in favour of decriminalization but I actually think its best that people who really want to try it should put in the dedication and effort needed to make it. This is I think a good screening process that seperates the determined from those who are not really serious about these types of things.

I dont beleive it right or fair to give people such an extreme experience without them having researched and possessing at least some understanding as to what they are getting themselves into.

I don’t believe in even giving psychedelics to other people and think if people want to try them themselves they should make themselves responsible for the consequences.

On both sides there is anti and pro drug propaganda and a lot of young kids really seem to have no idea that actually drugs and psychedelic drugs can indeed be very dangerous and it isn’t all just a big conspiracy created by the government.

I also believe psychedelics should only be used by mature adults who understand that these things truly are seriously potentially deadly substances and should never be used irresponsibly.

I wouldn’t want to see psychedelics or DMT being sold in the supermarket or anything like that. I’m also going to be a father soon and wouldn’t want my own kid taking DMT or shrooms, or cannabis simply because I wouldn’t want someone I love going through, what is in the case of a breakthrough dose of DMT, a pretty much guaranteed terrifying experience!

You can also never know how others will react to these things, and besides the potential psychological ramifications for young people I think things like DMT and psychedelics are often huge great distractions to what they should be focusing on- education!

using a medium dose of dmt extract with cappi leafe extract I can observe a more real reality than i see at base line...

Its as if the vail has been lifted.. and i can see and understand things more clearly than i would see it at my normal base line filtered mind state..

Many things i was confused about.. but when at this level of DMT space.. many good and bad things in life all suddenly look SO SIMPLE! .. and play its answers back to me like a lovely musical celestrial band of time and space...

Once while in dmt space I wondered what physical death would be like.?.and suddenly i felt myself free falling through a cosmos of pure bliss!..[could that have been the answer?]

It was as if my own brain was answering me in its own special way! ..

Using a timeless connection of genetic coded information handed down to me from my ancestors my mind could communicate to me..

I think mescaline and other drugs of this class can also help one comunicate from within and see a seperate reality without the baggage of being a seperate identity!Thumbs up

Name: EG

Below is a description of my best and worst trip, things with DMT are never one or the other, they are always both and the orher, it's quantum, it's the coincidentia oppositorum, my best and worst trip are one in the same. (You can't look at this compound through recreational eyes, it's not a hedonistic experience, and if your the type of person that labels an experience "bad" the second it's not completely euphoric, then DMT is not for you. For me it's the challenging and difficult experiances that benefit me most, that teach me the most, now don't get me wrong, there are aspects of enlightenment, spiritual revelation and gnosis, beauty, euphoria, astonishment, and awe, but they don't come with out the challenging aspects of the experience.

the first time I smoked DMT I consumed 200mgs, light-yellow translucent Dimethyltryptamine crystals on top of high-grade marijuana, I cleared the DMT as well as the marijuana in a single breath, and before I could exhale (or even count to 5) I was in an overwhelming state of intense psychedelia. Visually the world was not recognizable, time ceased to exist, I remember going into a panic, thinking "get this shit out of me!" And exhaling as rapidly as possible...but it was too late. I remember looking around, I was at the bottom of a foggy mountain with dirt roads, I was overcome with an intense feeling of panic and deja-vu, I felt like a lost child, everything I knew about who I was or my life or earth seemed like a distant dream, like I dissolved out of existence, I interpreted this as dying, I knew that I was dead, and I was emotionally overwhelmed while confronting the event of my death...at first you want to reach out for help, you think "call the fire department, or I need to call my family", but you quickly realize it's just you and death and you have to come to terms with it alone. I could not tell if I was breathing or not, I would take air in, but couldn't feel it, I then noticed a pain in my chest, a giant mantis like being had its claws in my chest, it proceeded to tear open my chest and stomach removing all my organs and insides, I was about to go into shock when I saw a bright green light flash over my shoulder, it nearly hit me, it then became a beautiful geometric object,a glowing stone or jewel, morphing and color changing. The mantis then put this object in my torn up corpse. The mantis then began to make billions of these objects, each one unique and radiating beautiful colored light, and my hollowed out corpse was filled with them, replacing all the organs that had been removed. Then I was sealed up in a burning flash of red light, and my newly rebuilt body was propelled into an orange light where I was resurrected...then I felt as if I was being pushed through a membrane, I was being born....then back to reality....those who were there said in reality I curled up into a ball and began to cry for 15 minutes, I was wondering why my face was wet, because it felt like I had actually just went through being born...any way the immense deep spiritual and psychological implications of this experience left me for ever transformed, reborn as a new person entirely, it was the single most meaningful thing that has ever happened to me.

Since taking I have changed in these ways:

·Before DMT I was agnostic, and now the reality Of conscious existence after death has been confirmed, I have devoted a good deal of my time to spirituality and spiritual practice since this experience.

·I suffered from mild depression and anxiety for a good deal of my life, which has entirely disappeared since this experience and has not returned, this experienced occured in 2012, and I have had nothing but a renewed love and appreciation for life since, a love for life like I had never had before.

·Any fears about death and dying have disappeared, I no longer have any fear or anxiety regarding death.

3. Would I take DMT again?

Yes, and I do still consume DMT via ayahuasca brews, though this is as a part of my spiritual practice, and to be honest, if I had never smoked DMT again after the experience described above, I would have been fully satisfied with what it had taught me. After you have had A FULL breakthrough further use becomes unnecessary. The thing is folks will smoke, and will have the most intense experience of their life, but will still be no where near a true breakthrough, these folks have no idea that they are only experiencing the tip of the ice-berg, and once you have experienced the full range of effects you technically would not need to ever do so again

4. My opinions on the legal status of DMT:

Dimethyltryptamine is produced endogenously in every healthy human body, it's a known neurotransmitter/neuromodulator and is closely related to 5-hydroxy-tryptamine (serotonin). DMT occurs in a large number of animals and plants, and has been in use by humans for thousands of years, so I think to try to make this compound illegal is absurd.
(Ayahuasca is not illegal out-right, it's a gray area, some churches are allowed to import and consume ayahuasca, and there are no laws or regulations involving the plants themselves, though you still may be charged if caught doing something perceived as inappropriate with these plants, ayahuasca is somewhat legal, and if we want it to stay that way we really have to encourage responsible use through out the psychedelic community, hopefully regulation attempts will be abandoned, people like MAPS are really helping ( www.maps.org ). Though the reason why drugs are illegal is another issue that I don't want to get into, so I leave it here.
