Hello fellow Nexianss I'm looking for some help, advice and an opportunity to discuss. Recently I had some bad news regarding a medical condition (i don't want to go into the details too much here but I'll just say it's something that has been a curse on my family for several generations) On my last few journeys I've been confronted by a dark and powerful entity. Initially I was like hell yeah bring it on I'm strong, powerful i'm bulletproof (in the past this frame of mind has served me well in dealing with negative types I've encountered on my journeys and they've been firmly kicked into touch) I know I have a head to head battle ahead of me with something more powerful than I've encountered before. The battle lines have been drawn. It's me or "it" and this needs settled once and for all. I've been told do you know the full implications of taking on this battle go back and have s good think before hitting this face on. My last couple encounters have left me feeling drained and I know in order to get the upper hand I need to raise my positive energy and defeat this curse. I feel it sitting heavily on my back. I know this may not sit well with some of the more scientifically minded of you out here but this is a very real battle for me. So anyone been in a similar situation before where something is feeding off your energy / fear? How should I go about preparing myself for what is the most important battle I have yet to face? “My brain is only a receiver. In the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know it exists.”

I think your approaching this all wrong. It should never be a battle, if your trying to fight an entity your ultimately fighting yourself.
I'd recommend to focus on letting go.

Thanks for the perspective Ladygaia. In the past my approach has always been, surrender and go with the flow. Saying that there has been times when I have had to stand up and go toe to toe with entities / parts of my personality / psyche (call it what you will) and let them know I am ultimately in control. Perhaps I should take a break for a while and concentrate on the battle on the physical plane, build up my strength and positive frame off mind before venturing out again? “My brain is only a receiver. In the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know it exists.”

Well i might be wrong. This is just what i found best to do in my own experience. And whenever I have dark energies inside me, usually need nothing more than a good cup or two of ayahuasca to help heal me.
But everyone is different. Some time off might be good for you.. Others should chime in their opinion as well. Wish you the best and feel better.

When we fight with something/someone were are also fighting with ourselves. In spiritual terminology "Surrender" is translates as the cessation of fighting; the cessation of fighting with yourself. Surrender and you will be granted passage. I promise.

Well, i feel that everything was already been said... You need to be in peace with yourself and the universe. Don't force your way... sekretweapon wrote:Surrender and you will be granted passage. Hard to say, It sunds to me like the "Entity" you are facing is just a manifestation of your fear/resistence of the future, and ultimately of death.
May or may not be an actual entity, but it certainly is a vibration that stands between you and the ultimate truth of Benevolence.

Thanks for the feedback guys Breakthrough ain't an issue and I surrender myself to the spice whenever I travel. Death is not something I fear. Many experiences have taught me there is no fear when you meet your maker on this plane. Death is the ultimate trip. There are however (in my opinion) "beings" within ones psyche and outwith ones psyche ( I leave that statement open to debate) that sometimes have to be met face on and ultimately defeated. Many of us have "our own demons" that we have to face and accept or defeat (been there got the t-shirt) Many of my personal demons have been defeated thanks to the good medicine. Recent experience has shown me however that there are forces other than those that are an intrinsic part of oneself that exist in the places that we go travelling. Are we not all linked through a collective consciousness? (big question) There cannot be light without dark nor good without evil. After a couple of days thought on the matter my mind is made up my resolution and strength are building. I will defeat the darkness that is trying to throw me off my journey. Sometimes offence is the best defence. “My brain is only a receiver. In the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, inspiration. I would be interested to know how ayahuasca might heal an intense experience with a dark entity? Does one not see dark entities on ayahuasca? Even if smoked DMT throws you right into the mix it still seems to me that ingesting orally active DMT would be far more intense, )depending on dosage) because you are there for a much longer period, it seems it might be troublesome to me at least that if it started to go sour that I might end up trapped in a space I would not like for a while? I am asking because I have not experienced aya, or pharma and have been alarmed enough on my breakthroughs to be wary of taking it orally.
I just want to know why or how in peoples experiences an aya voyage may have healed their previous smoked DMT experience. And am I wrong assuming that it is going to mind-melt me in ways unimaginable in the way a breakthrough freebase experience is?
Thanks for any input.

Thanks for any input. I agree with points made here already about the best thing is to surrender/let go. About aya, little hard comparing it with smoking, but almost always gets dark(mostly during purging stages) n in my experience it always passes, after purging out all the negative energies/blockages. how dark and how quickly it passes depends on how much healing you need and how you handle a trip, let go surrender let go surrender! With aya you need to go through the darkness to reach the light, and i find caapi in a way like a shaman guiding one towards the light. So no matter how dark an aya trip gets i find it very healthy and necessary always coming out better/more healed than i went in. such a beautiful spirit aya

As the other posters have hinted, it might not be the most efficient way of framing this into a context of "battling" and "dark entity".
But to play on your words and metaphors ~ 'surrendering', or otherwise said, integrating is the way through. You know how Neo defeated Smith in the last Matrix? And as you are calling it light/good and dark/evil, well, integrating the darkness will make it dissipate as it will be illuminated totally, by what light you already have, no matter how small. It only takes a dim candle to light up the darkest darkness.
Now, this being said, there is nothing wrong with going at it as a battle. If it's fun then go for it; but if you're genuinely interested in 'another way' then, yes there are other ways of going at it and the integration as opposed to battling is a way.
For a more metaphysical point of view, the dark entity only exists there for you, because you are meant to learn a point / a concept / a lesson. Once this is done, there is no more need for the entity to hang around as it would no longer be relevant to you.
Also, I don't know how to go about it, but it might be interesting/useful to figure out if it's an actual entity or just personifications of your inner thoughts and ego mechanics.
The way of being fearless / not afraid of dying is to reach the place where you see equal value among all the options and accept that all outcomes are perfect. Only when all options are equal you can then choose the one you *prefer*. But as long as you have strong feelings about an outcome or another, you place that outcome on a pedestal and it becomes biased and the options will not be equal making you struggle *against* it and using it as a measuring stick for succeeding or failing.
It doesn't mean being passive and just letting stuff happen to you, but actually a very active being loving towards everything that is.

I'm not so sure that surrendering/letting go are the techniques that a shaman uses to protect himself against brujos, and I'm not saying they're right (or that there is one right way), but it is a worthy point of consideration. I can surrender in most situations, and I even have with these dark entities, but from my own personal experience, it does not feel good in any way (during or after) when they get up in my face and slime me (leave sticky, fuzzy energetic stuff). When I let go in other negative situations, the most negative situation has been turned on its head and flowered into euphoric bliss...I just do not find this to be the case for myself in the case of some of these negative entities. I've come to feel like letting go just makes me a sitting duck. I have less and less of an idea with how to deal with them. They really know how to screw up a good experience. My best strategy is to (throat) sing at them, but I'd really rather wish they would simply stop showing up. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

While I can't relate to the experience itself, what you, the OP, speaks of reminds me of the mysticism often found in fairy tales and myths. One of the common themes is that the hero gets into very bad trouble where his safety and life are threatened by powers much greater than him (-> dark entity ?). Usually the hero does not manage to defeat these powers on his own, but has help from someone or something.
Perhaps you need to find that someone or something to help you out and symbolically defeat the entity...?

I'm just dipping in to say there has been some useful feedback on this thread that's stimulated my thoughts. EthanS your post seemed particularly insightful. The Nexus is a great place to talk these things through thanks to all that have contributed on this thread. I'll be sure to let you know how I get on. Letting go of the anger within me is certainly key to my progress. “My brain is only a receiver. In the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, inspiration. I'd recommend to focus on letting go. I agree with Ladygaia. Try to let it go. That will most likely give a more positive spin on your current situation. 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF!!!!FFO TSALB ...1 ...2 ...3 My grafting guide

the best way to strip fear of power is to laugh in its face. hostility can't be defeated with hostility, as others mention. but some challenges are to be overcome. sunlight and white sage(both as incense and for vaping/smoking) i have found to be the two most blatantly powerful tool for positivity and light. music is good, if it is the right kind. remembering how amazing and lucky you are simply to exist as a strange shoe'd bacteria on a puddle on the surface of a molten space globe helps a lot too. as well as remembering that this too shall pass. Without the struggle what was the journey? that is my fortune cookie wisdom. Without the actual battle what do we learn? kind of like the burn you get when you work your muscles to fatigue or pain in general. The battle can be just as gratifying as reaching an inner peace. Hi Jörmungandr, I apologize for bringing up an old post. But can you please provide an update to your situation? I seem to be in a similar situation and would like some insight as to what I may be going through. Thanks.
