Hello Nexians! I've lurked for a long time now but I finally have questions that so far I haven't been able to find any answers to in the forums or in the faq. Also sorry if this is in the wrong place I'm quite new to posting and if it is would the mods please move it for me? Being that I am a new member I can't post just anywhere. Anyways on to my questions.

So I'll start out with extraction route. I preformed a blab with fasw on some acacia confusa (I pulled several times w limonene, perhaps too much) I then evapped the fasw pasted and pulled with sodium carb and acetone, evapped, redissolved in limonene (not all of it would dissolve even after heating the limonene), and tried to sublimate it with dry ice. Nothing came out. I thought perhaps I used too much solvent so I tried evapping for about 2 weeks (not much if any evaporated) but when I came back there was some red goo in the bottom of my limonene.

I have 4 questions...
1. Can limonene be used instead of xylene to sublimate nmt with dry ice? The post I read about it said any nps but nothing sublimated or does it take a while for it to fall out? In which case the red goo is the nmt.
2. Is the goo just full spectrum alkaloids or is it nmt? Or was my extract too dirty and thats just mostly non alkaloids falling out? With the amount of solvent I used I'm surprised anything has fallen out..
3. Why did the limonene not dissolve everything? It was pulled with limonene in the first place so why would it not dissolve it?
4. Where do I go from here? Fasi the limonene, paste and pull, evap, then try again w xylene? Dissolve the red goo in acetone, add fasa, paste and pull, evap, and try again with xylene?

If anyone can answer any of this I would appreciate it. Thanks. Smile
