I just got some mimosa. It was the shredded version, so I boiled 100g of it. And then I tried to grind it up with my Vitamix but to no avail.

I've boiled it twice now and filled a 1.5L bottle.

This is my third time boiling, and it's still giving the same burgundy pigment. Does this mean there's still DMT in it? When should I stop?

I suppose I'll collect all the liquid, toss away the left over root bark, and then concentrate the liquid by boiling it.

What do you guys think?

Edit: I'm boiling to prepare for dmt extraction using Cyb's salt tek.

What exactly are you boiling the bark for? Are you doing an a/b extraction? Or making ay? For my last a/b extraction, I boiled (using a hot water bath) x3 in 5% vinegar and then x1 in just water, I strained the bark each time and reboiled. The water hardly changed color. I then basified and extracted the burgendy soup.

Yes it's for ab extraction.

I am wondering when the bark will be spent because it keeps yielding dark red water even after adding fresh water a third time.

Like I said, I did 3 acid boils for 2 hours each and then a fourth two hour boil with just water. And my water still got mirky. I'm using acrb btw.

So you combined all boils and boiled it down? To what 500ml?

Or did you save some for later?

What was your yield?

You know, honestly I haven't been measuring the basic soup that way ha-ha. But from my last 75 gs of bark I yeilded 1.9 gs of jimjam. And I'm going to do at least two more pulls on my soup.

This is how much I have after my four total boils. You can see the little bit of oil sitting on top.

Wow, you must have some quality ACRB. The ACRB is got a while back ended up with very little goo, so I went with mimosa this time. But like I said, it's not in powdered form, so I'm boiling it in a pot and just pouring out the liquid volume into a bottle. Thinking of reducing it after this third boil.

So you use a 1L mason jar? What tek do you use then to fit the ratio of bark soup to acid/naptha/salt/etc??

https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...Lime_A/B_Extraction_Tek

This is the tek I used, although now I'm starting to experiment on my own a little because there is not step to strain it. Also it calls for the acid bath to have water in it, but I use just 5% vinegar.

I've also subbed out the D d-limonene for sunflower oil (which I researched a bit) and I use sodium carb instead of lime.

But forreal, I'm really happy with the bark I have.

I should also mention that I'm doing the acid baths with powdered bark.

You end up with the tincture using that method, right? That was the only reason why I went with the traditional method. Wanted to do it the popular way first, and then start experimenting with other teks.

Yes, you end up with a tincture, but you can either heat the acetate off with a"hotplate" or I use a steam bath or you can add sodium carb and evap that off and do a final wash on that.
