It seems no matter how many you have or for how long it never gets any easier when one departs.
Rudy Lynne peacefully left this world this morning. She has been one of the best, and kindest dogs we've had the pleasure of having in our lives. She now rests under her favorite chestnut tree and will be deeply missed Sad

I am so very sorry for the loss of your loved family member. Sad. She looked like a great dog from the picture you shared.

I have no tolerance for people who say "get over it it's just a *** " or whatever. No s/he was an integral member of our family and now that the equation is missing a variable, everything feels wrong. Please take the time you need to mourn your loss. And never forget Rudy Lyne.

"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Yeah, my condolences.
I don't look forward to the day I need to mourn coco's passing (10 year old chihuahua).

Thanks everyone for the kind words,

Pandora I agree with you, some people can seem heartless sometimes towards animals and I really don't have a tolerance for it.

Benzyme, I feel for you when that time comes, and it does feel like a part of you leaves.

Again thank you all she was a little sweetheart and knew she was loved all the way up to the end, my rottweiler is missing his little friend too. We are all still missing her and will remember her forever.

I am really sorry for your loss man Sad I understand how sad you must be.

When I was little boy maybe 9-10 years old I had very strong connection to a racing pigeon. Yes pigeon you read it right Smile This pigeon was like a dog and followed me everywhere either by air or just walking behind me. If I went to the groceries he waited on the roof and after that flew back down and followed me back home.

His name was Miki and I was crying for hours when he died.In fact the whole family felt that way. I could not believe my best friend was gone. In my life I met, got to know and forgot about many people but I will never forget this little bird because of how much love such little animal can give Smile

We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.

Sphorange, yes I think she had a good life, that pic is actually 3-4 years old, all others had faces in them and I didn't feel like taking the time to blot them out.

Pau, sorry to here about your loss of Hoya, Rudy was playful and got along with our rott, actually he looked up to her like a mom. But ya she got along with most dogs and cats.

Thanks Smokerx, I think what makes it hard about losing a pet is from the start they show absolute unconditional love, and are truly genuine at heart and probably live some of the purist lives, which I envy them for. Regardless of what animal we are talking about.

Again thanks everyone it means a lot and sorry for not being around here on the forum much for a couple weeks, took a little break from the psychs, not that I needed to, just figured after that my head wouldn't be in the right place.

Love and peace
