I have broken through after taking a benzo the night before and it was extremely difficult to recall the experience I had. Even though it had been almost a day since I had taken it, I brought back almost nothing from the journey.

The clearer the mind, the clearer the trip. Simples.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I wouldn't worry about lack of visions or memory.

Over the past 6 months ish, I have not been getting visions and if I loose the tail of the tread as to what was going through my mind then it is gone for good.

I now prefer it that way.
I think there is work being done and the visions are a distraction.

Saying that, 2 days ago I did a large amount (changa) , the visions were so strong, with that alien feeling, that I started to panic which in turn spoiled the experience, even though I calmed myself I know that I messed up.

That is some thing that re affirms how special this stuff is, you can fight it or accept it, it does not have free reign over you.

It (they) requires permission .

Love

It opens also the question how important it is to remember within the "day mind".
What would one do with the remembrance? Ponder about it? Having a laugh about it sounds pretty productive though.
I'm not suggesting this has no use, but questioning if this making-mindly-aftermaths is the only use to make something experience effective.

The remembering mind has many limitations - emotional angles and thus the fruits of an experience should be solely determined by this funky instrument? Better not. I'd suggest the remembering mind effluent is a nice add-on, merely a painter of the temporary day vibration.
I trust, the important work has been done, even without the remotely mind remembering-analyzing.

There was this pharma experience were I could remember all those forgotten night dreams. They were all there, it was like opening a vault, the dreams were looong forgotten, but still there. I just happened to have a glimpse in the records. So from then on, remembering is just an option to me, with a questionable degree of importance.

Bump on the advice already given. Most dream recall enhancement techs will assist you with dmt too. I will even record myself as I come down, speaking in a stream of consciousness type way. The act of recording boosts my recall and then there is the extra boost with the audio review.

One thing to add about memory: brains do much better at filing and retrieving memories with context, viz, you can probably memorize a paragraph or famous quote much easier than a shorter list of random words. Trip recall can be hard for even seasoned travellers, but memory is muscle so take hope!

Also, I caution you on bath trips. You can drown. I too used to bath trip, and now I don't, due to personal experience.

hi kateadam, fear not you are not alone. I'm in exactly the same boat as you, I haven't remembered any of my experiences of when I am actually out there yet! all I remember is the first 5 seconds when I'm going there, the 5 seconds when I'm coming back, and of course the crazyily strong visuals of when I'm actually back which last 5-10 mins or so. all I know is when I come back I'm totally amazed at what I saw/experienced but annoyingly cant remember what is was I saw.

I also have great difficultly sleeping well, although I suspect this is more of a coincidence than anything related.
