Do any of you have a spirit guide? If so, how did you meet them? Was it on a psychedelic journey or through some other spiritual practice?

Many spiritual traditions speak of a guardian spirit or entity that serves as their guide or protector. Christians call these protectors guardian angels . In Native American tradition everyone is paired with a totem animal that is with them for life in the physical and spiritual world. Interestingly, I've read trip reports in the past talk about meeting them in hyperspace. Some people have supposedly even found ways to meet with them at will. Shocked Whenever I blast off I always feel like I am playing a game of spiritual roulette. Because of this it's hard for me to fathom how this is possible. I do believe in the phenomenon as ayahuasca shamans happen to be very good at this!

I am very interested to find out if I have my own guardian spirit and would love to get some insight on the subject from anyone on the nexus that knows more about the subject.

One idea I had was to have a sub-breakthrough changa session with a Meet your spirit guide guided meditation in the background. I do understand that things could get weird and could end up completely immersed in a different trip that has nothing to do with what I am trying to accomplish.

Below I have provided a link for a meet your spirit guide meditation that I found on Youtube.

The godhead entity that I have encountered on a number of occasions, has stepped in every now and then when negative entities draw near in order to deflect or deal with them in other ways. Even some of the "lesser" entities have stepped in to file intrusive negative presences out of sight. I have no clue what these guys do for me when I can't see them.

I've felt the presence of sprites before, and they seems to have some purpose as guides. Like an entire troupe of magical elves that behave quite like children, except hyper intelligent. I've felt them guiding me before on trips. They are usually playful, sometimes mischievous, but never cruel. Like little pranksters occasionally and playful often.

I usually feel them while on DMT, though on my very first trip I did see them popping out of a bathroom wall like fractal faces that look very similar to the Kaleidoscope Cat painting by Louis Wain. It seems many people have experienced this type of being on DMT.

Yeah I like that most every religion has a tradition of this. My experience with this kind of idea has the qualities of the Irish fae folk. Though that's possibly just my expression of the phenomena. If I were Middle Eastern I may possibly have a djinn around me, or if I had more Christian lean I might could see cherubim. Though I have had the encounter with a feminine divine angelic presence that seems to be watching over me and helping me, I haven't really met the being, I've only felt her.

I don't think I've met enough variety of entities to have the best grasp of which feelings gravitate toward me. With the exception of the sprites, which are almost always with me on a DMT trip.

I like to think the spirit guide is myself. I'm just getting to know myself. If you view it as a reflection, the spirit guide may be telling me of times I have had in my past life, or even secrets about my current life that were unknown to me. I protect myself. I create a circle of good relationships to keep me protected. But what about my intuition is "guiding" me in those right directions? On the reflective scale, I protect her and she protects me. I allow her to be alive here, or him if you will. I want to keep in mind the anima/animus complex.

"Lesser souls". Please tell me you play Skyrim or at least know of it. This soooo reminds me of Skyrim.

The nature of the universe is to build up aggregates of conscious matter. Esse est percipi, to be is to be perceived, without observers the universe is just formless vibrations of energy. The all seeing eye is a human symbol we use to represent the idea that the universe itself has a consciousness and intelligence...God if you will. I think DMT opens you up to the absolute reality of pure consciousness and your rational brain is trying to figure out what it's experiencing by throwing up these archetypes.
