I was recently made aware of a horror movie with DMT as the set up for the big scare, and in the "artistic" (I use the term sarcastically) interpretation, DMT is a bright blue Draino colored liquid that you just take a shot of. Also it's "military grade" DMT, whatever the fuck that means Laughing .

The Banshee Chapter (2013)

Also I didn't see it mentioned on this site when I did my search though I'm sure many are aware, but there is a French film where DMT is a main theme that does seem to have some reverence for the chemical in it. Its a rather artsy film. So figured I would mention it as well.

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather."

The lazarus effect is a movie about injecting dead things with DMT in order to bring them back to life. --I-never finished the movie.

The Netflix series Sense8 has DMT in the plot but I almost stopped watching it after a scene where these guys rob the "dealer", shoot people etc to steal his stash and money AFTER a session. Completely mis-represents DMT culture IMHO. Other than that it is an interesting series and Tom Twyker (Run Lola Run) directs some episodes.

Ayauasca: Vine of The Soul was decent enough. I connected well with a lot of what was presented.
Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life - Sturgill Simpson "Turtles all the Way Down"

"John Dies in the End" is another potential film, though not explicitly DMT.

I stumble upon this puzzling, and to me powerful Shocked ten minute short:

1200 Mics - Ayahuasca

It reminds me of Ken Russell's Altered States and an odd re-translating of a Sam Raimi parody on HP Lovecraft. Really.

I was Deep in 4-ACO-DMT research when I watched it, so I likely had put more meaning into it than what's really there. But somehow I sense the flavor is authentic. The themes seem right. And whoever created and directed it surely has gone to some of the more serious and darker places that I've romanticized that Ayahuasca can take one to.

Though I've had some breakthrough psychedelic experiences, I haven't had the hyperspace to the Origins of the animistic Universe trip. Not yet. But I'm asking, have any of you who have trek'd to the Amazon relate to this short?

Some heavy, awesome computer graphics and imagination at play. I don't think it was intended to be a bad B-movie: the visuals are too...anti-camp. Smile

Just ten minutes.
What you think?

I've talked about this movie a few times before on this forum, but it's one of my favorites, that being Renegade (Blueberry outside U.S.) from 2004.

It's a psychedelic western involving native amercan shamanism. You can tell that the director put effort into not mentioning what substances are used in the movie. It gets low ratings for things such as "being weird" for the visionary scenes. I love it, and the director did over 100 ayahuasca sessions for research and it shows. He made a documentary about the research called Other Worlds, also very much worth a watch!

Not to mention they took the tiniest of hits from a weed pipe. i couldn't get past the second episode, it was too slow and uninteresting for my tastes.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

I just looked the movie up thinking it was going to be some low budget film with unknown actors. Interesting to see a fairly popular cast.

It looks pretty terrible as a film though and seems to portray DMT in a bad light. I don't want to ruin the film for anyone who wants to see it (I just watched the trailer) but here is a scene where they discuss DMT:
