Hello everybody!

I was hoping you guys may be able to aid me with some wisdom from your experiences.

I was reading through a list of herbs on the nexus wiki that are used in changa blends, and for some reason Mugwort was shouting out at me.

I was curious if anybody has had any experiences they could share on the effects of adding Mugwort into the blend?

Thanks for your time

My girlfriend usually makes changa with mugwort and harmalas and sometimes, a little bit of caapi leaves. I have tried it more than a few times and enjoy it almost as much as my own blend. (50% caapi 20x +50% calea z.+ harmalas)

I like the dreamy quality mugwort imparts on the experience. And in my experience it definitely has a calming effect and enables one to "let go" to the experience with greater ease. It does make me tired afterwards more than caapi or calea. So this narrows down the situations it is useful for. Using it before bed has led to intense dreaming.

Give it a try

Thank you very much for sharing your experience, much appreciated! That is great to hear, sounds like it lines up perfectly with my personal needs. Looks like I'll be trying this combo today if the universe delivers me a nice quiet hour, beautiful day outside.

Will post here afterwards and share my experience. Thanks again!

Mugwort (and Motherwort) are classic womens' herbs. Not at all to say that men shouldn't take or enjoy them, but they seem to have stronger effects for women. Like catnip has stronger effects for felines Smile.
Some men find Mugwort mild. Some women go into trance. Used in menstruation a lot.

Strange that it is identified as a woman's herb, I identify is quite feminine and all woman and yet the couple times I tried smoking and vaping it, I found it very unappealing, from the taste to the feeling. I never thought to try it in changa.

Generally, for changa I appreciate things like large amounts of banisteriosis caapi leaves and blue lotus, along with some passionflower, mullein and lavender and just a pinch of peppermint.

I would suggest making a small amount of your mugwort changa and testing it to see if it appeals to you. If so, then make a larger batch and enjoy, Big grin .

Wooow, I tried adding some Mugwort yesterday with some surprising results.

I decided to roll a small joint of Mugwort and sprinkle some of my Changa throughout the last half. It was quite a small amount (if I had to guess I doubt it would have exceeded 30-40mg of Changa, 15-20mg of DMT) but it was so beautiful.

To share my experience properly I'll have to share a small amount of background information, so bare with me Smile

Recently I had the humongous intuitive urge while meditating to buy this amazing Quartz point with an intense green Chlorite phantom, perfect little Pyrite cubes growing inside and these fuzzy little balls of yellow Calcite, some beautiful golden rutilations and some red spots of hematite here and there. I had been looking at this crystal every time I'd walked into the store for slightly over a year, as the first time I had ever picked it up my entire body instantly was overcome with an energy rush (not dissimilar to the onset of a DMT trip)

So anyway, having absolutely no money I asked the universe to deliver me the means to obtain it, and here I am (though $200 in debt) with this beautiful being. I wanted to know a little more about some of the specific formations of my crystal and was doing some reading, it has this almost arrowhead shaped face with 5 sides which they refer to as an Isis crystal.

I was reading about the Isis crystal in this book "Crystalline Transmission - A Synthesis of Light" by Katrina Raphaell and there was a beautiful story about Isis and her personal healing journey after her husband Osiris was murdered by Set. (Egyptian gods if anybody here is unfamiliar)

So anyway, I suppose it was around quarter past 5 in the afternoon or so didn't really pay any attention to the clock and I was sitting outside in the beautiful sunshine and decided to light up my Mugwort/Changa joint. As the intense energy rush settled into my body I stood up and walked myself to a spot where I was getting the sunshine over my whole body (was starting to drop below a building roof out of sight) and held both arms outstretched just soaking in the light.

The first thing I noticed after standing in this position for 20-30 seconds was that I had a masculine being on my right and a feminine being on my left holding my hands. I was moving my thumbs over their hands and it felt just as real as holding any physical hand. It felt ridiculously soothing and comforting and at the same time I could see with my eyes closed a giant white stream of light linking directly from the sun to the tip of my head (Crown Chakra) and bathing my entire body.

Now I'm not usually a person that prays, especially not to some specific Deity so this next part was a little out of the ordinary for me. I had the intuition come through to say a prayer to Isis and ask for her assistance in healing myself and my own emotional pain and instantaneously upon finishing my prayer a gigantic white light appeared in front of my vision (very roughly in the shape of a person but you couldn't make out any features it was waaay too bright) and I could feel all the tension and stress and dis-ease/discomfort in my body being washed away.

This went on for quite some time (at least it felt that way, the entire experience was spent standing with arms outstretched and eyes closed and my perception of time had been completely altered) until the gigantic light began to fade into the distance and I thanked Isis for her assistance. As soon as I had finished saying thanks I opened my eyes, walked forwards to my little table I had been sitting at when I sparked the joint and picked up my phone to see the time was 5:55. Considering that the number of Isis is 5 I was slightly in shock and yet at the same time incredibly grateful for the sign.

This seems true for me as I was physically drained after the experience and simply wanted to sleep.

No Knowing wrote:

Intense dreaming being an understatement in my case Shocked I proceeded to have at least 5-6 of the most vivid dreams in my life that I can bring to memory.

Funnily enough one of them was a lady teaching me about my new phantom Isis crystal and she seemed to be in shock upon seeing the Chlorite phantom. She let me know that this crystal held some incredibly intense personal lessons for me, mainly to do with integrating and accepting the shadow aspects of myself.

I plan on trying perhaps double/triple the dose and smoking through a stronger hitting device than a joint next time which I will also add into this thread in-case anybody is interested, but I definitely think when I get around to creating my own Changa blend I will be throwing some Mugwort in there.

If you made it this far thanks for reading Big grin

Hey No Knowing,

Could you break down the recipe ?
How much harmala alkaloids, spice and mugwort ?
Aslo, it's both harmine and harmaline or separated ?
In the lingering moments before you die your body releases DMTโ€ฌ. The same drug that makes you dream. The same drug found in every living animal. It's not an evolutionary trick to make you survive. Your body is choosing to release this drug now because it believes your fate is too grim for you to comprehend. So you dream. You dream that everything will be fine. You dream that nothing happened at all. It's in this moment that your body sits across from you. It tells you 'looks like we're not gonna make it this time.' You sit around a fire and recollect the past before soon parting ways back to the atomic ether. Your body does this because it loves you. You have never met anyone like your body. Your body has been with you everyday, good and bad. It's even kept a journal of your life carved in scars. Your eyelashes always wiped the tears from your eyes.

I don't know about No Knowing's recipe but here is one I've used with very nice results:

"Grateful Bliss"

*1 gram Freebase DMT
*300-500mg Freebase Harmalas (no separation of Harmine and harmaline)(Also note that I put 300-500 because I don't like mine to be super heavy with harmalas but you can put up to a whole gram if you wanted...that is where these 1:1:1 ratios come from)
*700mg Mullein
*150mg Mugwort
*150mg Pink Lotus

Dissolve DMT and Harmalas into minimal warm Everclear (Drinkable grain ethanol). Add herbs. Mix well. Evaporate well. Cure (optional).

Then...
Blast off!

Big grin

In relation to the OP, I find mugwort to be very dreamy, sort of similar to the cannabis sedation...It has its uses but I generally leave it out of my changa these days mainly because it makes me tired...

1:1:1 ?
I saw one blend by Olympus Mon where he says 0.8 spice : 1.5 harmalas : 1 herbs. That i reckon would be quite strong right ?
That would also be a wonderful 1 hit breakthrough since there is only 1 gram of herbs offering their entire surface area for 1.5 grm harmalas and .8 grm spice. Essentially there would be only 1 gram of herbs with a total mass of 3.3 grams with increased density.

i need something like that since i'm a complete non-smoker, i need to breakthrough in one hit.

Yes that would be pretty strong but most don't go over a gram of harmalas.

By 1:1:1 I mean 1 gram DMT, 1 gram harmalas, and one gram herbs of your choice. Depending on your blend, the smoke should not be harsh or too hard to hold in. a breakthrough is not always guaranteed even if everything goes perfectly.

Hey grateful one, why would you say that a breakthrough is not guaranteed every time ? I think if the dosage is right irrespective of the set and setting we should break-through, right ? Could you validate your statement please ?

Sure, I'll elaborate! Smile
I don't know what causes it, but I have been denied access to hyperspace before when all things were supposedly 100% correct. And this has happened for me on changa, plain enhanced leaf, and regular freebase DMT.

Dosages were correct
Set and Setting were correct
Smoking technique was correct

And yet I was not able to lift off. I still got a trip from it (ranging from weak sub breakthrough to moderate sub breakthrough but not a "true" breakthrough). It is a strange phenomenon that myself and some others have experienced. With the enhanced leaf and the changa I can chalk it up to the DMT not being spread evenly and therefore I got a weak trip. But I do not have any answers for the freebase DMT not lifting me fully into hyperspace.... Also, it is important to note that the term "breakthrough" should be taken with a grain of salt because it is a relatively vague term and means different things for different people. The general idea is that it represents a powerful experience.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge on this phenomenon could give a better explanation. Here are some useful threads on the matter:

Thanks grateful one,
It's a wonder I have to say, or that's what I think, when ingesting the same amount of freebase crystals in the form of vapor via the same amount, holding it in for the same amount of time, sometimes the breakthrough doesn't happen. For me the last time I had strong visuals and felt more like a roller coaster ride, when the time before that, for the same quantity I thought I had died. Big grin
