Hey Nexus members.

I am pretty stoked about this intergalactic website. What an incredible tool for resources, knowledge and information. A big thank you to all contributors!

A little bit about me. I am originally from Germany but have travelled the world and lived in many countries. I've always been interested in exploring all kind of places and states of mind.

But my "real" introduction to the healing potential of entheogens occurred about 14 years ago, living in Guatemala. I lived in an indigenous village on Lago de Atitlan (Lake Atitlan), only reachable by boat. Aldous Huxley said about it, that it is the most beautiful lake in the world. And he wasn't just tripping his balls out when he said that. It's true. It's about 330m deep and surrounded by mountains and 3 volcanoes. One day a good friend (he was about 72 years old at the time) told me that a medicine man from Brazil is coming, serving Ayahuasca. He told me a little about it and I declined his offer at first, as I felt I was done with hallucinogens. Yet he told me it is a different kind of experience, and at the end, I trusted my friend and joined my first 2 circles. And wow, has it made an impact on my life! So glad, i trusted my friend's recommendation and offer. Since then, I've participated in countless ceremonies, mostly with Grandmother.

Living in the US, I naturally connected with Native Americans and Peyote ceremonies as well. Simply awesome to sit in a Tipi, with the fire in the middle, taking in Grandfather, singing and praying all night long. Although the prayers and music, doing ayahuasca, strike my soul in a more beautiful way. I'm feeling more at home with that.

I definitely would say that I am a big proponent of doing these medicines in a safe setting, under the guidance of an experienced, "real deal" medicine man/woman. Both medicines/entities can take you deep and far, and it is no recreational thing to do. It is serious business so to speak. Especially if anyone is new to these two medicines.
The preparations that goes into these ceremonies are huge, and having a proper altar/chakana set up is essential in my point of view and experience.

Over the years I've become a helper/officer at our circles, and I love doing this work, helping and guiding people through a rough time, deep experience, uncomfortableness, freaking out... I feel, that is where I shine most in ceremonies, being a care taker, a guide, a safe guide for reassurement.

Ayahuasca is definitely MY medicine. And after many years, I still get my ass kicked and shown where I need improvement, what my shortcomings are, and how to let go.
In addition, the prayers/music in our circles are heavenly. We have an amazing community of musicians that are on the highest level of skills, putting their heart and soul into it. What a gift and blessing. I am fortunate enough to learn from them and the medicine, playing classical guitar, Native American flutes, Fujara, percussion and many other instruments in circle.

Since one year, I have been more and more interested in DMT, and recently have been working with the best quality spice I've come across. Wow. Holy Schnikes!

I am looking forward to be a member of Nexus community, learning, sharing, teaching and all that comes with it.

Blessings and safe journeys. May the medicine be with you.

Aho!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Hello Ahoibrause,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for sharing your well thought out and nicely edited introduction essay. I really enjoyed reading it.

You sound like you are in the middle of a wonderful and growth filled journey. I suspect you will be very happy here.

I hope that you extract your own DMT. If that is not something you've done yet, I'd strongly encourage you to check the wiki link for extraction teks.

Again, welcome to the Nexus. Very happy

hey Pandora!

thx for your warm welcome. Doyou have any recommendation what tek might be the best way to start for a beginner with not too many chemical skills needed? I'm sure most of them are managable, but I think with starting something new, starting slow and safe is better. any additional tips besides the extensive wikis? You think MHRB is a good way to start?

I'm excited to be/become part of this community and definitely feel very comfortable to be a contributing and advising member when it comes to Ayahuasca. Although, in almost every ceremony, I come to realize that I know nothing Smile
